Arrow The Dun Company - Mercenaries (Update: Rockram)

I noticed that my topic was gone with with the old forum. I decided to restore it - maybe it mobilize me to make updates more often. For now I have one I am quite happy with - Ghordson Basher. Nice comment welcome :)

Those are some really nicely painted miniatures! I wish my blending was as smooth as that!

I love how maniacal Durgen looks, very fluffy. The battle damage on the Basher is fantastic. It doesnt hurt that you take some great pictures. KEEP EM COMIN!

Yes, your jacks are amazing. The battle damage on the Basher is particularly good.

I start to think maybe I've learned to paint a bit, and then I see something like this and I realise how far I have to go...

Neat and nice work there. The weathered look sure looks good on the color scheme.

I really like your gorten, the colors work really well.

Very nice, the colors are close enough to look uniform without being exactly the same,

A bit older than Basher but I didn't manage to take photo earlier:

Some group shot as requested. However I didn't have any reasonable background so it looks how it looks.

And I also thought that some WIP pictures would be nice, but don't get too excited cause I am going to work on Avalancher next :)

    Thanks for comments :)

In my opinion it is very hard to make this mini looks effective. However I made a little greenstuff haircut and in my opinion it looks much better.

I went the easy way buying Reapers sand and desert triads. For this bases I used Sandy Tan for base coat and then washed (heavily watered, Saxons a bit more because of rock) with Intense Brown (any warm brown). MacNaile's was drybrushed with Sandy Yellow and Desert Sand (menoth highlight or bonewhite) and base of Saxon with only Desert Sand (dont remeber .

A very solid army. The scheme is straight forward and suits it well and the painting is very solid with some nice details.

I especially like Anastasia. I think that's the nicest I've seen her done. You managed to put far more expression on her face than I thought possible.

I know - it is not today but I feel that day that I will paint a decent OSL will come. However it was very nice model to paint (shame he will rather not see the table). I am especially happy how the face and skin tones turn out.

I really like the base work, simple in most cases but it brings a lot to the models.

The OSL looks pretty good... My only critic is that the "magic" is unseen. If there was some way to put a orb or transparent thingy somewhere in there that shows what the magic is doing. For now you just have to make believe that something is causing the light source.

Maybe if his entire hand was the source... idk...
