I wrote up a long piece about ClogCon, my road to get there and experiences while being there. There's no tactical or analytical value here so read at your own risk. Or don't

I strongly disagree, I believe your blog, including this article and anything else written on it, is very instructional and made me a better player just by reading it.

My time for playing WMH is very limited, if I can play 3-4 games and a tournament every month, I am already beyond happy of having the time for it. However, due to your blog, I believe I am playing not too shabby and was able to get a 3:2 on the Belgian Masters 2 weeks ago, which could even have been better if I would have had more experience.

We discussed a bit during your "Kara" phase, as I was trying the same pairing at that time and I started doubting her being the right pairing. The discussion and your blog inspired me to switch to Caine2 with whom I stuck so far, as I do not believe to have the time to really get the grasp of Hailey3. I will hopefully get some time in December to get around a couple of Haley3 games.

Enough of the sermon, I want to take this opportunity to congratulate you on your win and to thank you for writing your blog. It helps players with limited time, like me, to better understand the game and the Cygnar matchups.

    Thank you
    Kaiser

Hey Kaiser, thanks a lot for your feedback! I'm glad my blog helps you. When I talked about no tactical value I meant that last, specific post. Well no value at all is perhaps an exaggeration, but I just wanted to warn people since I very rarely do fluff pieces Thanks a lot for your kind words!

    Just got another report up - Stryker3 vs Vlad1 - http://www.courageofcaspia.com/2016/...-vs-vlad1.html

Tbh I feel ppl are going overboard with Una2's feat, a lot of control feats and effects provide similar functional immunity across entire armies. Haley2's feat, Haley3's cloud Wall, Baldur1's feat Ghostly/Flight apart... Pretty sure ppl will adapt to dealing with ARM 13 warbeasts. She looks good, just not "omg it's broken" good.

Una2 on her own isn't necessarily that bad. But in Circle with the support they have access to and Wurmwood as her pair...

Una2 with angry birds is too strong indeed. The fact that Cygnar can find answers should not delude you into thinking a list isn't broken. We also have answers to Karchev and Mad Dogs. In a nutshell, Cygnar is the "answer faction".

I took this quote from your report "I kill the rest (seriously Trenchers are legit vs Birds, CRA + Rangers and having 1 aim in pairs of two mean you go to RAT12 and you do dice damage)." to be a big part of your answer to the jamming (Which I think is not a good tactic because the jammers ARE the heavy hitters. No second line.). This tactic is available to any POW 10/11 unit with CRA. Rifle Corps and Houseguard riflemen come to mind with boosted attack rolls, if Idrians manage to cycle Prey it's KFC time...

Not saying Una2 isn't good, or even very good but there are answers in almost factions for DEF 15, 22HP light beasts. Perhaps those answers need to come back into the Meta.

Yes, it likely can be done for some but you also have list chicken situations with Wurmwood in the pair. Most solid answers vs Una struggle a lot vs Wurmwood.

Played 2 more games today. Sloan vs Khador. Reports on www.courageofcaspia.com

Ah, Olannon testing Nemo3... interesting news Thanks for reports.
The old man is also on my pairing, these day... but my BG is completely different : Dynamo + Centurion + Firefly (and another Firefly with JR), but I also run double stormlances (min). I'm not sold about the value of the Stormwall with Nemo3... what's your feeling about that ?

  39. #679

I love the Stormwall with Nemo3. I hope to elaborate deeper on the subject later, but TL;DR he provides scenario presence and scenario denial, is activation independent, projects a lot of threat, has innate pathfinder and I believe he is solid vs Circle.

New Nemo3 report, this time vs Vlad2: http://www.courageofcaspia.com/2017/...-vs-vlad2.html
