Default New Player Starting Strakov with b day money what do i buy first?

Im a new Khador player who wants to start a strakov tier list, im getting some money for my birth day and i have some ideas, this is the stuff i already have:

Caster - pSorsha (I know i will need Strakov)

Jacks - Devestator, Khador Heavy plastic kit (fully magneted)

    Units - Widowmakers

    Solo -Widowmaker Marksman

This is the list i have in mind:
    Strakhov+6
    Decimator-9
    Devastator-9
    (6)Assault Kommandos-5
    Assault Kommando UA-1
    (6)Assault Kommandos-5
    Assault Kommando UA-1
    (6)Kayazy Assasins-5
    Underboss-2
    (4)Widowmakers-4
    TOTAL-35

I just want to know if it sounds good and what i should get first (after i get strakov).

Er... Do you REALLY want to do a Strakhov tier list? It's not exactly an effective army... In fact, it's one of Khador's *least* affective tier lists.

It would prob be alot better if your money went towards building an actual balanced Strakhov list that is going to be much more competitive.

    Stuff Strakhov loves.
    -Beast 09
    -Spriggan
    -Any Melee focused Infantry/Solos

Agreed. Plus I gotta say that the Decimator requires more focus than Strakhov is willing to give out. You really want a Jack with Reach to get the most benefit from Superiority/Overrun so Beast and Spriggan are your best bet.

Widowmakers and Kayazy are pretty good with Strakhov since they don't need much support to be effective. I would recommend more fast moving, hard hitting solos/units who don't need spell support to get the most effect from Strakhov.

    Iron Fang Pikemen
    MoW Demo Crew
    Great Bears
    Doom Reavers

All excellent choices for him. Plus+melee soloes like Drakhun, Yuri, etc.

ok so basicly everyone is sayign to get melee units/solos and a jack with reach, this is what i came up with tell me what i should change:

    Kommander Strakhov
    Beast-09
Doom Reavers (Leader and 5 Grunts)
    Greylord Escort
Iron Fang Pikemen (Leader and 9 Grunts)
Iron Fang Pikemen Officer & Standard
    Fenris
    Manhunter
    Manhunter
    Yuri the Axe

That would be 35 points, i think it will be hard to get to the enemy and my melee units and solos will be dead. I havnt been playing long and i just wana know what i should get and if this army would work. I was thinking i could take out the escort because i have fenris, and exchange him for Golman de Wolfe, Rogue Alchemist i heard he was good with strakov.

oh yah and i do not want to get the spriggan so i decided on the beast, i was wondering if he is just as good. And MoW are too expensive$ for units i think personaly so i dont want them.

    Beast is AMAZING under Strakhov.

That's a pretty solid list there, but I would suggest min IFP because the full unit can get in the way of Strakhov who always needs to move first for spells/feat. War Dog + Harlen/Kell/Marksman would be a good way to fill those points.

    Here are my adjustments:

    Kommander Strakhov
    Beast-09
Doom Reavers (Leader and 5 Grunts)
    Greylord Escort
Iron Fang Pikemen (Leader and 5 Grunts)
Iron Fang Pikemen Officer & Standard
    Fenris
    Gorman di Wulfe, Rogue Alchemist
    Manhunter
    Widowmaker Marksman
    Reinholdt, Gobber Speculator
    Yuri the Axe

I think that reinholt will benefit strakov alot more than the wardog, and i decided to have gorman di wolfe, he is very good with strakov i heard, but i still was wondering about some things:

1.Would it work if i took out doomrevers, escort and reinholt in exchange for the devestator?

2.If not can i take out the escort for Kell?

just wondering cus i have the devestator. also i took out a manhunter for a marksman.

The Devestator rocks with Strakhov. He's super focus efficient. He'll charge 11" for some rain of death fury on Feat turn for free. This is a great way to proxy overrun and/or clear a path for the caster kill. I run one in my 50pt list.

    How's this:

    Kommander Strakhov
    Beast-09
    Devestator
Iron Fang Pikemen (Leader and 5 Grunts)
Iron Fang Pikemen Officer & Standard
    Fenris
    Gorman di Wulfe, Rogue Alchemist
    Widowmaker Marksman
    Manhunter
    Yuri the Axe

Is that good? Here is what i have so far:

    Kommander Strakov
    Devastator
    Widowmaker Marksmen

The rest will cost me around $220 so what should i get first? Can somebody make me the best 15 and/or 25 point team using nothing but that stuff.

That's a really solid list. The only change I would make for personal play style is Harlen over the Marksmen. I love that he punishes the opponent for casting upkeeps.

This 15pt list has netted me a 9-2 record and 1st place in our local league.

    Strakhov
    -Beast
    Fenris
    Great Bears

You can always sub Yuri and Manhunter for the Great Bears, but the amount of attacks and damage the Great Bears can put out for 5 points is insane!

Wow, thank you so much for the help i will buy fenris and the great bears. I chose the marksman becuse i have him. I will look up Harlen's stats and proxy the marksman for him to see who i like better, if I like Harlen better Ill buy him. I also will try Kell.

Well it all depends on what you want to use them for. Harlen is there to punish any units that have upkeep spells on them. He gets boosted hit and attack rolls if they have an upkeep on them and he ignores buffs to ARM/DEF. He can also make a maximum of four shots per turn as long as he keeps hitting. Marksman is great to snipe out solos from a long range. RNG 14 POW 12 is nice, so on most unbuffed 5 damage solos you can just roll straight dice and probably kill them.

magic rifle....its more useful than it seems. stealth when in cover. and dual shot if he doesnt move, which is great as he will also get aiming bonus. far better than the widowmaker marksman imo, tho great 2 use kell, widowmakers, and widowmaker marksmen. thats 7 dmg boxes gone from a jack per turn, or 7 inf dead. the enemy will notice that kind of pain

Man! I really like the thought of killing a light warjack every 2 or 3 turns, But there will be a HUGE target on the sniper group.
