The pose looks much better. The sword does too.

You should bulk up the connecting rods in elbows. He does look much better standing up taller. The sword extension looks pretty clean also. It is hard to tell but what did you do about the design down the middle of the sword. Did you extend them so that they still touch, fade them into the extension or cap them off square?
Most people say that what some people say is pretty stupid.

awesome! mines coming slowly... i have to get some supplies today and order more stacks.
plus im trying to get a crusader, repenter, BOV, and sunburst crew painted so i can start my warmongers!!!! agggghhhhh... why did i make a pact to not buy more minis unless all my stuff is painted!
did you use the crusader hand? nice.
Thanks for all your feed-back.
After looking again I agree on the upper arms. I'll have to bulk them out a bit.
The swords designs are faded out and I think I'll keep them that way.
I had plans about putting the whole sword on fire, but since it's not a flaming weapon I wont.
The hands are the original hands, but the swordsarm is repositioned a bit.
can you post a close up of the legs? Are those the harbringer's shoulder pads for knees?
How exactly did you extend the sword? What material did you use?
It looks good. When I get around to expanding my Protectorate army I might have to attempt something like this . . . although I'm kind of nervous about how it will turn out.
your technique for extending the sword looks the most natural and fine that I've seen so far.
That said, I found the arm rods too small because you lengthened them they draw the eye more. I would beef them up substantially.
The arm pose is personal preference. My preference would be for either a dynamic slash, or an above ahead 'CHARGE' sort of pose - or maybe a pointing challenging/threatening pose if you like Gaze of Mennoth a lot. As is, you've got a stupendous looking sword that in my opinion, and this is just me, looks like its a lance set in the low carry before the charge.
I really do love all these recent Avatar conversions. The stock model just doesn't look like the unstoppable smiting machine it's supposed to be.
Menoth makes the rules. Legion breaks them.
and a link to my models... Mostly Skorne right now... And a MAMMOTH!!!
