    Default Butcher1 advice.

I'm having trouble choosing a direction here. I started off trying to build a Jack Heavy B1 list that still has a powerful infantry threat and this is what I started with.

    Khador
    75 / 75 Army

Orsus Zoktavir, The Butcher of Khardov - WJ: +28
    - Sylys Wyshnalyrr, The Seeker - PC: 4
    - Juggernaut - PC: 12 (Battlegroup Points Used: 12)
    - Juggernaut - PC: 12 (Battlegroup Points Used: 12)
    - Spriggan - PC: 19 (Battlegroup Points Used: 4)

Kovnik Andrei Malakov - PC: 4
    - Kodiak - PC: 13

Doom Reaver Swordsmen - PC: 13
    - Greylord Escort - PC: 3
Doom Reaver Swordsmen - PC: 13
    Kayazy Eliminators - PC: 5
    Kayazy Eliminators - PC: 5

I decided that Andrei and the Kodiak didn't provide the utility I want available because I want to finnagle a strong alpha/counter charge on feat turn. I really like a Jack that can run 14 inches but then what? Let the first unit of doomies eat the first attacks then chain throw whatever kills them? It's not bad but I really want to try and deliver as many DR's as I can. So I thought Ternion. Drop malakov and the Kodiak and end up like this.

    Koldun Lord - PC: 4

    Greylord Ternion - PC: 7
Doom Reaver Swordsmen - PC: 13
    - Greylord Escort - PC: 3
Doom Reaver Swordsmen - PC: 13
    Kayazy Eliminators - PC: 5
    Kayazy Eliminators - PC: 5

That leaves me with 6 points so immediately thought Yuri because 5 dice at Pow 16 (fury) seems good and he seems like a nice body guard for orsus and sylys. Then I thought about where to lose a point and get a second unit of Ternion to turn a unit of doom reavers into a unit of doom trenchers. Change spriggan to a Grolar and get the extra point but I don't have a Grolar and don't really want to buy one so i went a point less to Ruin (which I also don't have but will soon) and decided to play a point short but that drives me up the wall so I threw in widowmakers instead of the second unit of wizards. I'm still kinda torn and don't know which of those three roads to take.

I'm quite sure that Ternion Clouds are still spells, so Doom Reavers can't be targeted. Spell ward is a curse, and a blessing.

Damn. Day almost ruined. I didn't even think about that. So it would seem that widowmakers winemakers are the way to go. They're AD as well so I suppose I could use them under clouds to screen the doomies. Slows it down a little but I'm not opposed to that. Or should I drop the greylord boat and find a different 11 points? Possibly even 14 if the DR ua. Yuri and two manhunters?

I don't have any Doom Reaver Escorts, and I don't see much need. I'm a huge fan of using the Doomies as a distraction axe, running at my opponent. They can't be ignored because they hurt too much, but they're cheap enough that I can afford important things behind them.

It's important to remember that Ternion have abilities beyond clouds, and that Butcher's feat is all damage rolls, including those from certain magical sprays.

As for your original question: how to spend 6 points: upgrade the Spriggan to Behemoth. Done. Underwhelming jack exchanged for best heavy in the game. The problem with the Spriggan is that, especially in your list, all it brings is Steady, Sturdy, and Reach. Whereas Behemoth brings continuous damage via bombards and the ability to single-handedly punch a Mountain King to death. With focus remaining, if under feat.
Another option would be to take a Mortar Crew. HE hurts, even when you're trying to drift onto stealth, and Butcher's feat also affects blast damage, so...

Don't give up on your list simply because you can't use the Reavers for cloud cover. You can still cloud on your jacks, and the Ternion can only walk and cloud a total of 11" away anyways, so Doom Reavers weren't the best option to begin with. That being said, I'm still not sure of the best way to use Ternion, so I might be lying; they might be trash in this circumstance.
