Can't say I can argue about this
This was made back when I first started building stuff and simply didn't have all the tools and bits fer the job (bendin' those nails are a lot harder than it looks). I also didn't realize he lost a finger, dang it.
I also can't say it was supposed to be an elephant, but more a crazy space elephant alien man. T'was a star wars setting.
Sock-jacking is a viable option for dis-assembly
I like the Champion hero into EMadrak idea. I can´t stand the epic model. So I converted mine into this. Hope you like.

There are enough lies in the world without my help.
I cook as well.
My Deneghra conversion - added sculpted hair and fire, arm repositioned, removed old and added new, quite normal looking spear (because original one is too much angular).
And my pThagrosh - added wings and sculpted some armored shell plates on his head.
I hope you enjoyed those conversions.![]()

This is about as ambitious as I've ever gotten with a conversion:
I'm not much of a converter ...

Idrian Hawk from my Amon themed army.
Cos everyone who's done a conversion has done a Bokur. Paint job not finished, but this guy is from my Highborn Army.
Not a huge conversion job, but killing squishy elves is fun!
Here's a couple of my conversions. They're mostly repositions of limbs and such to add some dynamics, or to avoid pose duplication in my army. The pictures aren't really crisp and the colors look a bit faded, but they should show the conversions well enough. Enjoy.
Slayer, converted to look like he's running. The bucket on the sand base was added to provide some stability and fits in with my Skarre raiding theme.
Harrower, reposed to look like he's standing up straight. This was originally done to provide more contact between the miniature and the base. However, I also think he looks more imposing that way. His front limbs are rather tight together in front of his chest. They remind me of a grasshopper rubbing his legs (?) together.
Pistol wraith on a clear plastic stand. The base is coated in green-tinted water effects to look like he's flying in over the ocean. The water effect is repeated on some of the other bases in my Cryx army, to tie it together.
Finally, a model from my (small) Trollblood army. Like many before me, I converted one of the impalers to avoid having two identical figures. I cut off both arms and pinned them in a different position. A bit of greenstuff was used to rebuild the arms. I haven't come around to paint him yet. He'll be painted in the ochre color scheme of the rest of my trolls (eventually).

My Impalers

Those Impalers are sweet! I may have to steal your conversion ideas for my son's army.
The forums seem to have one of two responses to new models. (A) "This model is worthless, I'll never use it." or (B) "That model is over powered, it's going to break the game." A few models get both responses, which ends up being really hilarious.
But what's wrong with saying "This model is circumstantially good and it's up to me as a good player to exploit its strengths and minimize its weaknesses"?
Only because its not on the new forum and its a conversion I had wanted to do for ages:
Cheers
GC Flash, nice basaltic columnals.Oh, and great conversion too.

Green stuff. I am working on a Broadside Bart army and then plan on expanding in ot other merc casters. With the pirates I could not resist continuing the water effect (as I enjoy making it so much... maybe its just the fumes?!?).
HB PencilsBeing that my wife is from Northern Ireland I thought it was nice nod to their great scenery.
Cheers folks
Here are two more that I had almost forgotten about, please excuse the poor photo quality:
And two I'm currently working on:
The scrap thrall conversion was the easiest, except repairing the back foot which broke off (gorilla superglue to the rescue!)

those impalers look amazing, great job with the paint too.
here is my conversion, a gunmage captain adept for a Kraye themed army, just a simple head swap from perry brothers american civil war line.

There are so many amazing models in thread thread. Too much awsome to take in all at once.
Here is my first ever (of hopefully many) PP conversion

Slightly modded Phoenix. It's not quite done; I need to fill that gap in on the piece on the back, and I'm trying to figure out how to easily make the sword look more menacing with the spare manticore blade. I'm also looking at bulking up the body.
Two of the changes are really obvious: I used the hydra's forearms, and I placed a vent (off the top of my head I'm not sure of the best word to describe it). The vent does a nice job of breaking up that big smooth area on the back.
The third, and more subtle, change I made was with the shoulder pads. I flipped them around, and then aligned them so that the ridge would be roughly parallel to the arms. I'm actually really happy with how this particular change worked out.

If your opponent has you outgunned, outnumbered, outflanked, and outmatched, that's the time to do something stupid.
some great conversions on here. This is a conversion of Tartarus that I did. Real simple, just cut him in the middle and bent him forward, but it made me enjoy the model's look much more.
