    Exclamation Final changes to event

As of 7/31, the details of this event have changed again. For the last time, bar an act of God.

Xmax Games will be observing the release of Primal Mk II by running the Hordes:Genesis event on Saturday 8/14 beginning at 2 PM.

Hordes and Warmachine will both be permitted. Proxies of equal base size will be permitted.

Players should come prepared to play three rounds with armies of 25, 35, and 35 points respectively. (Most regular players at Xmax do not enough models to field 50 points, hence the reduced third round size.)

Being new to the whole event organizing thing, I made the mistake of assuming that a tournament would be like the league, which of course it isn't.
The things that I would add beyond the tournament rules by PP and what I've already posted are these-

Price of entry is the purchase of PP product from Xmax. The owners usually wave that if you are a frequent customer and buy lots of stuff anyway though. If Xmax doesn't have something that you want, they offer a 10% discount on prepaid pre-orders.

There is no sign up sheet. Space isn't an issue unless we get more than two dozen players. I will use a sign-up sheet for upcoming events, just in the name of running a tighter ship.

We don't have any minimum painting standards. Obviously, everyone would enjoy it more if armies were fully assembled and painted, but most players here are so new that they are doing well to be fully assembled and primered.

I will probably not be running the event myself. That will fall on the shoulders of Alex P., who is an experienced tournament player himself and has a much stronger command of rules and procedure than I do. I will basically be watching him and possibly playing my Protectorate army (Circle not being even assembled yet).

    Thanks for your interest.

    Russ
