    Default Time for some Retribution!

Hey guys, I recently threw down some hard earned cash for a Dawnlord battlegroup lead by Vyros. I just finished my test mini for the color scheme. Lemmy know what you guys think! Oh and the reason he's not based is because I'm waiting on some ancient ruins bases from Dragon Forge miniatures. I used the artwork in the RoS book for my inspiration. I wanted to have a worn and battle hardened look instead of the clean and pristine white look. Anywho, this is my first infantry model I've painted for Warmachine, feedback is welcome! Thanks guys!

edit: ok got the camera working properly and used a black background! thanks for the tips!

Great work! Now, get that bad-boy on an appropriate and finished base and get to playing!

Nice looking model. I'm not sure about the blue-green on the white armor, but it looks really good on the sword. White is a pain to paint, much less photograph.

Try putting the model in front of something dark. I found that my camera adjusts its color settings if the overall shot is too light. You could also set up several light sources, disable the flash, and force the camera's focus to macro (which is for really close distances).

Your camera is probably better than mine, but mine takes crappy pictures if I don't adjust the settings manually and those four things let me take good pictures. (I will say that in macro mode my camera absolutely has to be sitting on something stable. I cannot hold it still enough by hand.)

Ok got him all based, here he is with the Dragon forge base, and all primed, test model complete. Im fairly happy with the results, took me maybe 45 min to paint him. Tomorrow Im going to start cranking out Dawnguard!
