charges and the rest of the unit

when a unit charges it must charge or run.

if some models in the unit complete all the rules of the charge but donot travel 3 inches can they still make an attack w/o the charge bonus?

secondly if models just move there regular movement durning a charge order but donot move in a straight line, therefore not "charging" can they still make an attack considering they didnt move enough distance to be running?....pretty sure i know the answer to this one.....but the first one is what i am really interested in

Yes, normal attack after a short charge movement.

Charge movement must be straight line. Either declare the model is charging and move in a straight line or declare that it is running and no attack.

1. Yes, standard charge rules say if you don't move 3 it isn't boosted. pg 45 war machine mkii

"If a charging model moved less than 3 ˝, its first attack is
not a charge attack because the model did not move far or
fast enough to add sufficient momentum to its strike. Its
first attack must still be made against the charge target,
however. The charging model completes its combat
action normally."

2. how can they move non-linear movement during a charge? its either run or charge and neither lets you do what youre suggesting

can I charge different targets with the same unit? eg charge in 3 different directions with 3 Man o war ? (assuming los is given etc)

I think that now, in MKII, if part of the unit can't charge they don't run, they have to move its speed in itches.

I think this is what you're referencing:

pg 19,Hordes field test:
A trooper must receive a charge order to charge during
its normal movement. A trooper that receives a charge
order must either run or charge during its normal
movement.

I don't think you could do any type of normal advance out that.
