Thread: pStryker help

    Default pStryker help

    I was looking into starting warmachine. I noticed there is a new plastic battle group set for cygnar. What would I have to add to the cygnar battle set to make it work/ competative at 35 points.
    I think it has Stryker, Ironclad, Charger and a Lancer.

    It does, and that is a great core to build on.

    A melee and ranged unit would be great for you, followed by a Squire and some support solos.

    Try out Longgunners, Precursor Knights with UA, a Squire and Arlan Strangeways. That should give you a solid list to start off with.

    what is the squire? a journymen warcaster?

    Also, take a look at Rangers and the Black 13th. They are really good, and the work well together. 9 points well spent.

    Max both units.

    I know it doesn't look all fancy, but the stuff I suggested is going to be dead solid against the majority of things you're likely to come up against.

    While not strictly in faction, Nyss hunters are a nice option too. Filling both the ranged slot, and in a pinch, the melee one as well.

    Stormblades go well with Stryker, and make a good unit to cast Arcane Shield on. Precursor Knights make a good second melee unit (you can't cast Arcane Shield on them). Add Long Gunners (full) or Gun Mages for a ranged unit.
