    Thumbs up Tutorial Finder!

So, since we have such a great community of modelers and bloggers, I figured it was about time we put together an index of all the great tutorials that have been written. From assembly to converting, from base coating to weathering, and to the inevitable paint stripping, there's a myriad of common tasks people need help with.

Several forum members have taken the time to share their experiences via tutorials, or step-by-step directions as a response to a question asked. Unfortunately, we can't sticky them all... But we can sticky an index to them!

The following links are to posts here on the Privateer Press forum, or to blogs written by PP forum members. When possible, the exact post or blog entry was linked to.

So, without further adieu... the list!

    Added Angus' link.

@ Valander: I tried to search as many of the topics as I could, but I'm sure some slipped through the cracks. If you or anyone have tutorials I missed, let me know!

In general: We have lots of info on the basic and advanced painting, but not so much on the core basics, which is where I think we get lots of questions. Basic tutorials will be my focus for the next month or so. Once I get a bit more time (this weekend) I'll probably start writing tutorials for the basic things. I already have a mold and flash removal one in the works, and I think a Pinning one with pictures would be pretty easy to do quickly.

In the end, I'd like a completely new person to be able to read through a tutorial and get a basic understanding of what they should be doing before asking questions. It's a little less interactive, but they can be far more specific with their questions, and therefore get the best help possible.

I'm also putting together a basic modeling kit that'll have everything someone needs to get into the hobby. I'm going to try to do it for about $30 or less. We'll see how it goes. The kit will probably happen after the tutorials, that way I can be sure I haven't missed anything.

    Great additions!

I'm considering that priming one an advanced technique. Using primer to shade and highlight requires quite a bit of thinking ahead and planning that beginners probably shouldn't be worrying about. The priming tutorial I want to put in the basics section should involve how to hold a spray can, how far away to be from the model, how to ensure you get even coverage without ruining detail, what weather is bad for spray painting, etc. Yours doesn't fit that, but is still a great technique.

I also added a special section on Extreme models, so I'm off to search for some of the other extreme conversions people have done!

    Thanks everyone!

Sorry for the delay in updating - I had horrible internet while on vacation.

I've added the tutorials in their proper places, and I've added a "Misc" section. Tutorials on a particular model or recipe will go there.
