Test Cryx Scheme

I've been flirting with a scheme for my cryx, and think I'm sold (finally). I want to have something that's easy to paint, and plays to my strengths as a paints (jeez why couldn't choosing a grad program be this easy?). I've received criticism that "they all look the same," and that this is essentially the same color scheme as my Black & Tans. Perhaps. Whatever.

The idea is that on flat areas of 'jack armour I'll paint some runes. The colors are black, brown for leathers, and chardonite granite as an off color (capes and stuff). There is also gonna be bone, and the undead flesh will be an off white also. So I'll have the darks, and lights will be bone and undead skin tones. 'Casters will get some gold too. The necrotite green on the left 'jack will be what I'll use on models going forward (the lighter of the two greens).

Whatcha guys think?

looks pretty good...so long as you like it, go for it...

I like it. It's close to the official colors while still being unique.

But, as Cleveland said, if you like it, go for it. I mean, I took NO advice in a color scheme for my Cryx and ended up with pink necrotite, and I know of a local who, without going pink for the cure, still painted his Ret pink. Then there's the other local who had spraypainted his entire ret army chrome.

Looks great to me and exactly what I would expect of a Cryx army. Cryx is one of those factions that generally looks best in all dark colors with a more monotone look.

I doubt the necrotechs are stressing over what color to paint their warjacks or if they will look good in a particular shade and whether the trim color is too bold

I like the nightwretch necrotite color better

The only change I might make is to paint the runes in the same necrotic green glow

They seriously look great. The colours are different enough that they do NOT look at all the same.
