Speaking of cool ideas: ZOMBIE GATOR!!! PP just previewed the new Warlock and he's undead. Never been a big zombie movie guy, but how can it get scarier then a Giant, undead, magic casting, Gatorman whose trying to rip you apart with his HANDS!
Answer: Give him a Wrastler who's undead too.
So new project. I think that preview may have just thrown my plans out the window. Anywho, I'm off to research how to zombify with GS and figure out if I want red or blue candle flames. (Any of you Nurgle guys, you know who you are, can point me towards a good tutorial)
Check our past issues of the insider...one of them worked on an undead kraye and the techniques used on the horse will probably carry over really well.

Acquired two more Snappers. One of which I'm converting to go with Maelock. I'm going to attempt to use the tutorial komodokeeper posted. If you've seen my work with my Khador then you're aware that it's going to be a fairly tall order involving multiple attempts.

I hope for much awesomeness from this for the conversion. I really hope it comes out well.
Here's the final GS'd edition. Not bad if you've seen my other stuff, but I've some work to do. The portion on his tail ended up needing to be touched up after I finished the others due to careless handling. I've actually been moving pretty quick on the Snappers since I realized that I forgot to buy a brown shade for highlighting my 2nd Spriggan's armor when I was at my not-so-Local game store last Wednesday.(Dropped about $40 just on paints and supplies, before models, as it was.)
I tried Scared, but I'm not sure how well I delivered till paint is on.
Finished

Wow, you got that done pretty quickly! Looks great![]()
Thanks again Alex. I've got the paint scheme for my Blindewater down so that I only takes a few hours to do them. I took about twice as long on this one to play with colors and make him seem a bit dead. Swapping my red-brown for green-brown, playing with colors in the wound tracts, ect. I'm fully prepared to tackle Maelock when he hits my table.
One thing I did learn with the wounds is I need to make them deeper and the striations deeper and wider as well since I lost definition to the 3 layers of paint and two clear coat. I'll be ready to go a little over board on which ever heavies I get for him.
Now I'm up to my 'Barber Shop Quartet' in Snappers. I've got 2 Beasts, 5 Solos and 7 Posse between me and the 100pt list pre-Domination list.

Most people say that what some people say is pretty stupid.

awesome work, i', just starting work on my blindwater army, nearly finished my Posse, next up Barney.
Keeping me inspired buddy
Aye, I've got a list on my computer I keep pulled up to keep me on track for my current list, Butcher's Boy. I've been real good about keeping to it with the exception of when my LGS got my second Spriggan in; about 4 months of waiting. Have 2 more posse and the Totem hunter on order and my (not-so-local anymore) LGS has WE&SJ and a 3rd Wrastler on the wall waiting for me to pony up. I aim to please.
Agamemnon, I'm not sure how to take that; it could just be because I'm tired.
Love that conversion.
Thanks for the comments. I've been fairly busy this month and still churned out two warcasters/warlocks, three Heavies and a Light. I'm tired just thinking about it, since I've been into overtime for most work weeks since mid-July.
Final postings for this Month: Wrongeye and Snapjaw. This pair I've been holding off on buying since Blindwater came out simply because I wasn't 100% on the models. Of course this is another case of me coming to like the models as I painted it. I really like how the scales on Snapjaw were modeled, and I was tempted to do a pattern reminiscent of some species of snake.

I see Snapjaw got the bird
Very nice addition to the Congregation there my friend. Wrongeye's bottle turned out nice too.
Thanks Alex, I spent way too much time fiddling with both the bottle and OSL on the eye. I'm debating about going back and adding a few layers using two-brush since in person the wet blending I did isn't as smooth as I'd like. It's one of those perfectionisms I'm suffering from.....yeah part of me thinks the rest of me is ridiculous.
I like the bird on Snajaw. Never would have thought of that. Nice touch!
awesome gators! I like the froggies painted red-- makes them look like they're poisonous (maybe they are but I don't know their stats :P
I'm a big fan of weathering pigments too.
Yes they have Poison on their weapons, nerdforest. I'm at the moment deciding which three frogs to base my next three off of since I'm picking up the rest of the models for my 100pt gator list today. (Three Croaks, Totem Hunter, 7 GM Posse and a 3rd Blackhide)
And Rave, the bird was a spur of the moment thing that I thought of after I popped the bird out of socket on Wrong Eye during assembly.
Blackhide and Croaks need basing, Totem Hunter is ready for primer finally and the Posse is still in their boxes. I'll have pictures up in a couple days, but at the moment I'm avoiding basing since I dislike that part the most. Combine that with having to paint that many Posse, again, I'm trying not to procrastinate too much when I have free time. The latter of which is at a premium at the moment between being in OT at work and getting ready for my 3rd out of town trip in 9-ish days.
Croaks still need basing, Totem is getting paint and Blackhide is done

Nice work! I really like your bases.. the go really well with your painted minis! I think your Bog Trogs look amazing! They dont at all look rushed! I want to do my Bull Frog hunters.. like poison dart frogs myself.. to break up the greens in the Gators. Your frogs are awesome!
Thanks, I'll have the rest of them posted tomorrow afternoon. The new three have an even more complex skin color then the first trio. The purple one doesn't have as much pop to the the purple as the real thing, but I'm happy enough with it.
Croaks, first up is the new three.
And a shot of all 6. [Cue the evil cackling]
