I was just on malefic, and they have a pic of the new Warmachine and Hordes templates!! They look cool! I'll be picking it up.

they look great and fill multi-purpose - need! need! need...

don't get me wrong - i like the old ones, but it is getting on my nerves not really being able to determine starting points, ends of sprays and the like - all new and shiny with LOS-check.

I like the special markings on there for model volume and melee distances, but I'm sorely disappointed that they chose the smokey dark plastic of the original GF9 templates. It is hard to see through than some of the light colored (thinking of the green and blue ones) that came out later.

Nice design, I also wish they would have used a lighter colored plastic. Now where are those mythical tokens I've heard of?

They aren't out yet. Malefic previews a lot of stuff.

Neat! The reach-measurer snaps into the flame template to give you a nice handle!

I'm afraid these won't be very good for long term use. The "prongs" on the end seem prone to breaking.

The http://www.thewarstore.com has them for preorder. They'll be out the 6th with Prime MKII and several models, Butcher and Skarre to name a few. So you should be able to go to your lgs for the templates on release day.

I just noticed that the spray template has an added two inches to the old ones. Woo! Extra spray goodness!

They're really sweet templates. I like how you can clip the melee finder onto the spray template for stability.

Yes - they are just different styles. The templates are functionally identical.
