And some people can't resist providing their opinion, even if it wasn't asked for. XD

Wait, so people are only allowed to comment when specifically asked for their opinions? That's pretty harsh.

Feedback is acceptable as long as it is positive. Sarcastic remarks while awesome guile some.

Works well with the template now with the addition of the Cyclone. I'm still not gonna run out and buy a whole bunch though.

Gentle warning, guys. The first half of this thraed is questionable. If you don't have something constructive to say, don't say it at all. If you have a negative opinion of a model, that's fine, but do more than just make an entirely negative post with no other content. And just to be fair, this goes for the "I like it, too!" sort of things. We're going for content people, not just a nodding "yes" or a shake-head "no" around here.

I'd question the purpose of something like that. If someone asks people what they think of a certain model, or whether it would be useful in a certain situation, and so on, then I can see people giving their opinions as being productive, as it helps people develop and understanding of the model.

On the other hand, in the OP's case, I see someone who was interested in taking the model, and asking about a rules question. Speaking up to say "that thing's junk" doesn't serve any useful purpose. Let the OP try it out on his own and develop his own opinion, first. Providing your opinion unasked sounds more like you'd rather impose your viewpoint on them, rather than letting them make their own judgements first.

Personally, I've found the TCG to be quite useful in the right lists. Sure, my LG UA can do the same job, or the Cyclone, but my Long Gunners normally switch over to shooting at targets once something comes into range. I imagine the Cyclone will be the same way. The TCG is an inexpensive and relatively durable unit that can protect my ranged units from light infantry, for minimal cost. They do seem to work best in pairs, but given that we have other models that can lay templates (such as the B13), you can get by with one with the right support.

Just wanted to let you know that you might want to change your font size or bold the text. Your post in red on black is extremely hard to read.

tcg isnt that bad. In 50 pt games I like to pair it with a grenadier and use advanced deploy to put them right in the way of a medium to light infantry unit. they make an effective fire base and even if they are killed, chances are they put some hurt on the unit that killed them.
