even though I am a Farrow player now, I still would like to see a Minion force do well.
your lord and master...
B...
Awesome...would love to actually see enough Gator's on the table for both Calaban and Barnabus together. I'll just have to wait for GenCon.
All I can say is that I hope you guys don't end up facing Cryx, because you guys will probably be a shoe-in for first if you don't.
Minions will be top tear for everything this year lets give every event this year one hell of a bite.
When it comes to aggression Nothing is more aggressive then Rabies!!
Aww, you jinxed us.
The first team we played against was the all-cryx team that took second place. That did not go terribly well (2-1). We won our other games and came in 5th due to strength of schedule and one of our early (second round) opponents dropping right after playing us.
It sure was fun though!
Sorry Sevwall. If I get an envelope from Jersey with a piranha in it I'll know I deserved it.
Still 5th isn't terrible; well actually how many teams were there??
There were 20+ teams registered so I think we did quite well over all. I went 5-0 in the Capt spot. Sevwall was 4-1 in the 1st Lietenant spot.
Our team only lost 4 games total and at least one of those was due to teams that intentionally placed their worst player first to game the system. Lame but what are you gonna do.
On the plus side I then played a bunch of Iron arena and the Gators went 10-0 over the weekend. Five wins with Barnie and five with Calaban
jarredHTG: You have to give us your lists and strategies as well so we can all be as AWESUME as you are! 15-0 is quite a solid record.
I was a sad Gat'r, as I went 2-3 for the team tournie. I lost two games to players who ended up in the Championship match and I got diced one game (yay for Gatormen Posse missing multiple charges on a Parasited Kodiak). But hey - thems the breaks.
Went 4-0 with Gat'rs in Iron Arena and all I have to say: Caliban is the man!
Also, I have a totally newfound respend respect for Farrow Bone Grinders, as their Confluenced Arcane Bolts (aka - pig lasers) have won me multiple games (either via damage or lane clearance). LAZ'R DUN, as it were.
Barnabus is straightforward. Calaban required a bit of practice to get used to exactly how close to the front he can be and when but once you find the sweet spot it's unreal. I utilized 24 Fury in a single feat turn against pButcher (just Calaban not counting my beasts)
Barnabus
Wrastler
Spitter
Snapper
2 Max Gators
2 Thrullgs
Totem Hunter
Wrongeye and Snapjaw
Calaban tier 4
2 Spitters
2 Snappers
2 Max Gators
Min Bone Grinders (who used lazer show to kill Ravyn and a non tiered Calaban)
Wrongeye and Snapjaw with Discount Snapper
Croak
Feralgeist
Calaban does take a ton of practice. After about 7 games at templecon (after at least 7 of practice before hand) I think I'm finally just getting a good read on how to play him without risking death on most turns.
Would have loved to been there. I'm currently saving my pennies in an attempt to haul my Khador down to GenCon as I've only got a tiny gator army at this time.
PS--McNs, I'd melt those dice if I were you. Use them to level your gaming or painting table, or some similar punishment.![]()

I played against a decent amount of gators during the weekend but didn't have a chance to face Sevwall or Jarred (5 tournament games a day can be seriously draining). Going to have to wait until next year !

I try to preserve my current condition so I can game next year again and not implode. I got 14~15 games in on Templecon this year, though I didn't stay up for any of the midnight madness, last year was closer to 20.

So where's the battle reports?
Too many games to report, really.
But if you want, I'll tell the tale later of how I got a kill 22 minutes into a hardcore match by throwing Barnabas. I'll do that sometime later this weekend. Sadly another gator player lost his caster to Gorten in 15 minutes, but its still a fun story.
