Minions with other faction's warlocks

I'm looking at mixing it up a bit. I enjoy using my gators but I thought it might be fun to play another faction now and then, and seeing as I've already got a reasonably sized minion force I thought I could use quite a few units in both lists, needing only to buy a new warlock, a few beasts and maybe a unit/solo or two.

So which factions, and specifically which warlocks, operate well with Blindwater units?

I've got everything that Blindwater can take except Pendrake, and plan to get bone grinders for Calaban's tier.

I've had a bit of a look and have seen Grim Angus supposedly goes alright, but are there others?

Skorne, Skorne, and Skorne!

In fact Rasheth's tier list requires you to take minions. Skorne also have the taskmaster which can buff a unit of gators giving them all sorts of goodies. I think most locks in Skorne can get some good use out of gators, I remember them having a lot of target friendly model instead of friendly faction model.

I think Trolls are not the best choice for minion models as they focus a lot on layering buffs on their units and gators can't take advantage of that.

Borka works well with them as he tends to have faction neutral spells, Grim is decent with them as well.

I wouldn't say all of Skorne but Rasheth and Hexeris, Borka and Grim are good for Trolls. The casters that use heavy beast lists can generally work out since they don't support their army and Gators don't really need support, but then you are taking less beasts. Legion has Bethayne who has 3 upkeeps that benefit them. I don't have Circle but I'm sure there are a couple that they can work well with there.

You can also add pMorghoul to your list of minion friendly Skorne warlocks. None of his abilities, spells, or his feat are faction specific.

Calandra is essentially a minion warlock with troll beasts.

pThagrosh makes gatormen effectively def 16 from ranged and arm 20 in melee. Absylonia and bethayne gives them carnivore. pLyl provides parasite.

I came to minions because I already had so much gator love from Legion.

Baldur works okay with them, since they benefit from both his feat and solid ground. eKrueger is okay as well, since he has zero faction specific spells anyway. His storm wall spell can really up the survivability of minions facing gunline lists.
pKrueger is almost worth it just for putting lightning tendrils on gatormen. Two reach attacks and electro leap? Hilarious. But that's about it.

I have been thinking more about this, and as I both read through the latest NQ talking about minions, and flipped through the Minions and Mercs books, I realised Trolls must have the greatest access to Merc and Minion units out there, pipping Circle by just a little.

So Calandra, Grim and Borka look like they'll make great minion warlocks, and will let me use some of the models my Gators can't take.

It'll be interesting to see if Hordes will get an equivalent of ranking officers.
