I haven't heard from Landry if he's showing today or not. There's a slight chance I might get a call about a job fair thing. If I don't hear by the time I get off work at 4, I'll be down as usual for some achievement MADNESS, since it's the second and final week of that.

I'm packing the Circle this week, so yeah.

good times tonight.

after durgens unfortunate ranged assassination against zaal and co., i decided to screen lil D when i went up against jake for a bethayne rematch. I'd say durgen really loves himself some support solos in highborn. The Durg rained explosive death all over the blighted nyss and bethayne, last elf standing, got shotfun squirreled to death. REVENGE!

@dan, ill play ya at 35...after I play Jake at 50...he wants to try plylyth again. Im not gonna run Hexy vs ya jake, thats a huge mis match...but i wont meta game ya promise. Ill prolly do mordikaar...need to play him more anyway

Yeah it's me, i was pretty lucky vs chuck, but i'm not sure i can make diecon it's going to depend on my work situation. I'll find you detroit area guys for some more games at some point though don't worry about that.

Vyros at 35, got it. I'm also going to whip up a Ravyn list. (Edit: WITHOUT a Mage Hunter Strike Force!)

Hope they're going to preview some of those Wrath 'jacks soon... Starting to get bored with the options Retribution has. I like 'em and all, but we need something different soon. Part of the reason they've been on the shelf lately...

GGs Brian and Pigeon though. Brian and I went down to the wire. All he had left were Bethayne, Belphegor, the Protector, and the Blackfrost Shard that the Griffon couldn't kill! (It certainly killed everything else though.) Boosted Gallows got me. Against Pigeon... screening Nemo doesn't work when the 'jack that's shooting him from 15" away ignores intervening models for LOS... yay, Bird's Eye!

Okay, getting shot by eEiryss and losing 3 focus and AS doesn't help either. But still good! Yay Eliminator, I barely dropped out of the Centurion's threat range!

Had a lot of fun with Vyros tonight. I think I'm finally learning how to use him effectively.

Jake and I had the dumbest game ever...mistakes and dice fail abound...sucked
Brian just had bad positioning vs pmrghoul...my feat kept him from doing anything note worthy...the only mistake I made was not admonitioning Karn on my feat turn, but it didnt matter due to BB proximity to his heavies...GG both games

Against Brian in our 50 I only lost because Gallows did exactly enough damage to kill me. I still had a Manticore and Hydra with their damage grids untouched, a Griffon that was mostly functional (I believe he only managed to take out Movement and Generator), and most of the Invictors. I was also getting good use out of flank. He did have a LOT of dice fail but my feat was actually effective for once. And I've had a lot of trouble getting Vyros' feat to be effective.

Bird's Eye was the only reason I won so quickly against Pigeon. Nemo got close enough for the Hydra to aim turn 2, had to move the next turn though. It's hard for squishy casters like that to hide when you ignore clouds, forests, and models for LOS. His counterattack was pretty devastating though. Lost the Manticore, most of the Griffon, and all the remaining Houseguard to the counterfeat, and the Invictor officer was the only thing left standing in that unit after a Tremor. A lucky drift and kill with Eliminator on the feat turn kept me out of the Centurion's threat range.

So far though I've learned quite a bit about using him effectively. A lot of it is about ignoring LOS, since his 'jacks mostly ignore it anyways, and Houseguard can provide a nice screen for a gun line since they have ranked attacks. You can't always rely on the feat because of the timing and kill count required for it. Pop it too early and you won't always be able to use the focus because your 'jacks aren't there yet. Pop it too late and you're already mopping up the mess and can't get as much focus out of it. Doesn't help that your opponent's army also helps determine how effective your feat will be; a 'jack- or beast-heavy army will leave you with less of a feat to work with.

What to bring Tuesday... Retribution again? Circle to test out my list for the East Lansing hardcore? (Though I should really paint for that first...) Maybe I'll bring Khador if I can finish Irusk or pButcher who I want painted, but I find that unlikely. Probably Circle, but not 100% on that. Thinking I'll wait on Retribution for my other 2 halberds to come in so I can run that full unit.

Dan, we never got our 35 in...bring at least one list for Ret please, any caster. I also wanna start playing at least 1 2011 SR game per week, we never practice scenarios and Jake and myself's only losses at cons are due to scenario pts. Jake, i think if we honed in our SR skillz we could be right up there in ecred with the great Chucky Elswick!!! LOL

I'm cool to do some scenario games. Kinda want to try some more of those radials anyways.

I'll bring Ret this week then. My 2 halberds just came in (thank speedy Privateer!) so I can run a full unit now. Circle can wait another week. That might give me some time to paint anyways. (...Assuming I don't waste that time playing Minecraft.) At least one Ravyn list, maybe Kaelyssa too since I've had an itch to run her.

No!!! It was (omg I forgot her name) the chick the witch fire is based on, with the risen. You kept sacking zombies to buy attacks and boost damage. Karchev only had about 1/2 life left anyway...I lost. You played Macbaine well and beat me. I have no problem losing to a good player with a caster Ive never faced. Im over it. It seems like we all lose once or twice in the course of a weekend but we only ever talk about when I do. AND, IF orin did kill Karchev with melee it was when he had maybe 1 or 2 life remaining and orin is what pow 10, so dice minus 9 with 3d6...not hard

The list was built very solid...kayazay and boomhowlers crew made the best tar pit ever and coupled with countermeasure its nasty as hell. Karchev going 2nd was very detrimental to my plan of attack too
