Whenever I check this project it always brings a smile to my face!
That feralgeist is amazing, I'm awestruck.
Like drachenfels I can't wait to see how the Swamp horror will come out! Top hat, canes, cufflinks, the works! =D
Bravo, Faultie. A thousand times bravo.
The Osseous Bevy conjures up memories of some very early Disney halloween cartoons. They and the Feralgeist together get "Grim Grinning Ghosts" stuck in my head.
This project inspired me to do my first sculpting work ever! Just started a gatormen army, and picked up some greenstuff to steal your ideas Faultie. I now have gators with tophats and bowties. Thank you for such a unique compilation of gator class!
I'm still stunned by the Ironback, really. Such a hilarious and well executed concept!
Loving this project.
^^ Gods, yes please! But don't forget about the monocle chains. Where would they go to? How would one sculpt a suitable pocket for the chains to clip to? Perhaps instead they should lead to the pink protuberances behind his eye? How elegant he would be!
I'm so glad to see this project still alive. It makes me happy.
I #!$%ed Menoth John.
Reznik1's Last Stand: Paradox Plunge 2014
It needs a stately mustache.
Formally declaring this a win.
Gatorgents are complete at 35pts!
The last 2 Gatorgents were added in, giving me the army you see above.
I hope you can instantly tell the weapons. I may re-paint the lower handle on the billiards cue if it's not clear enough, but I think it's pretty decent for now.
If you want to see Captain Barnabas and his boat, you'll have to wait until TempleCon. There will also be a handful of other intrepid, adventuring chaps to see, but those may not be ready until the 11th hour.
Awesome! I totally want to see these guys in March!
Holy cow, didn't notice all the replies and suggestions from folks!
Thanks for the compliments. It makes me happy that this army is doing exactly what I hoped it would: given people smiles, laughs, and inspiration for their own projects.

I can't see any of the pictures here.
Broken links? Server issues?
and a link to my models... Now with more Cryx on page 6...
I believe the image hosting site is currently down. If it stays down a few more days, I'll find another host and repost the pictures.
Gods, so much fun! Can't wait to see the rest of the models in person at TempleCon! If you can turn the Swamp Horror into some kind of barker, complete with an elegantly fake mustache, I'd be even more entertained by your wonderful army.
Time is like a zombie, moves slow as hell, but when you not looking, its "Boo! Got yer brains!"
Faultie: Are you gonna put up a pick of the whole army with your sweet, new display board soon?
Indeed I will! I just have to finish the models and I'll shoot some pics.

Riverboat is looking good, Faultie - where will the orchestra sit, though?
Webhost is back up, so here's some pics of Captain Barnabossa and his finished riverboat.

Video of the entire display board, with music coming from inside the riverboat.
Once I get the display board back (it rode back to DC in a friend's car), I'll have to take some pictures of the whole thing and post them. For now, enjoy the video.
you continue to amaze me, this army is THE best ive seen in a very very long time. its great to see someone put so much love and attention into a project.
here's an idea... modify one of the front tentacles more inward, give him a larger mustache, and he can twirl one side of his mustache while looking like he is laughing menially in tophat and monocle!!
