Oh, we have two of those already. They will see much use in the two full gatorman units sitting on my hobby desk right now. I may even be working on them at the NoVa Open this weekend!

It's been a while since i've played. But remembering how nasty the gators were, I really couldn't get on board with the concept. After reading through the thread and seeing the results I cant get "putting on the ritz" outta my head so Great Job! Top notch painting on the turtle shell!!

Just a quick update:

I'm a little behind due to a trip to Canada to visit the myriad wonderful people and things there. While there, I got a great gift from our very own CaptainSpud!

Culturegeist!

This thing is magnificent, and I cannot say thank you enough! A great how-to from Spud is available on Lost Hemisphere.

I'm currently working on a group of the Gatorgents, and will hopefully have something to show for them on Monday or so.

Also: I've pre-ordered something for my display base. What's that? Oh, nothing. Just a 28mm scale riverboat.

Wow those gator gents my good sir are looking mighty refined and dauper if I do declare myself. I dont know but for some reason I could see one of the gators crossed dressed as scarlet o'hara.. maybe as gator o'reptile lol.. that and I could see a big band gator group too. This is such a cool idea you have going on.. it is awesome. I am from Canada too.. good to know you like us lol. Can't wait to see how everything else turns out.. and the river boat!

She's 375-380mm nose-to-tail, and that's w/o the paddle-wheel.

Ok, I guess it's time for a meaningful update. Behold: Gatorgents!

Fighting with axes is, of course, uncouth and shows a lack of culture. A proper Gatorgent, when forced to fight, will wield whatever he has on hand, be it his cane, fire poker, #2 driver, or croquet mallet.

Thanks everyone! I'm having such a blast with this project. It really touches a chord with me for so many reasons.

Indeed! The boat is part of a rather elaborate display board I'm working on, complete with a dock, a croquet lawn, and a few other little doodads you'll have have to wait for.

Naturally, old horse, you'll be using wood croquet hoops? And not those dreadful tin things your Aunt Lavinia put in. Of course, you then have to worry about those bloody caribou nibbling on the hoops, but I'm sure they'll be gorn soon enough...

I just think of Gators in torn up gowns, kinda like Malifaux's rotten belles... cept, less zombie and more... gatory... unless you're running Maelok. Actually, I might do some myself for my next batch XD

After a long hiatus, I've finally gotten some work done on my Gatorgents. Behold: an Osseous Bevy!

I had to paint this guy while on the road, so the palette was a little limited and the camera was...yeah. I plan to finish up when I get home (fix the base, toss on some Morrow White highlights, final sepia light, light wash) and I'll try to get some better pictures, but for now we've got this. Enjoy!

And if there ever was a Blindwater Congregate model that I thought would be impossible to convert into Genteel Collective, the Bone Swarm would have been it. Excellent work in making the impossible possible :P

I am returned home, have recovered my camera, and gotten to work on the home stretch of my Gatorgents, with the idea of finishing before TempleCon.

Next up: Gatorgents themselves!

This is just a minimum unit, with more on the way. Having bloodied his hands on the Blackhide, Plarzoid just couldn't keep away and so we find a terrifying Gatorgent attired in the former-gown of an unlucky lady. Ill-fitting to be sure, but certainly goes well with his cohorts.

Lastly, a quick update with the all of the Genteel Collective that is currently painted.

The keen-eyed observer will note the finished Osseous Bevy in the back.
