My Ashlynn/Highborn/Merc Army

So I've been working my way up to a 50 pt Ashlynn Highborn army, not playing it at all until I get it to be fully painted. Thankfully I'm almost there. Not everybody in the group is going to be purely Highborn since I also will use these models in my Searforge etc. armies. Anyways, here's the list:

I've got a collection going on flickr if you're interested in more pics than you'll find here. While I'm not quite fully painted yet, I should be done before next weekend, so I figured now was a good time to start this compilation thread.

Since I've already painted up 1 Ashlynn model for a friend, I knew that I didn't want to have a regular old Ashlynn leading my Highborn army. Too much pumpkin head for my tastes. Anyways, that leads us to my converted Ashlynn.



Followed by her trusty Vanguard



A Nomad that she's borrowing from a friend



and the Mule that Ashlynn put in charge of some crazy Gun Mages.

That crazy mule gets followed around by a bunch of gun toting good for nothing showoffs



Some dwarfs decided that this was a fight that sounded like loads of slamming fun



Ashlynn also hired a dynamic duo to provide support for the army



I don't have the Nyss photographed yet since they're so sneaky (and 4 of them are awaiting paint).

However, Dougal McNaile decided it'd be fun to come along for the ride and blow some stuff up

That's a funky Ashlynn conversion. I like the theme of the force, although I'm curious as to why the Nomad doesn't share it.

Mostly cause I was tired of painting purple, but also because I'm not sure if he's a permanent or part time position in the list (seeing as I've never actually played it). If I like him a lot in the list, I'll probably get a second Nomad and paint him up in the purple (when I'm less tired of painting it).

The hippy hair on the ATGM is unique.

So here's an update for this army. I've got everybody painted now.



Here's a closeup of my converted Anastasia as well.



Once I put some Matte sealer on the Nyss, Rhupert, & Forgeguard, I'll try and snap some pics of them before this weekend as well.

Really, really good looking army. I especially LOVE your Vanguard conversion. He looks protective and ready to strike, rather than ready to take a dump. The Nomad conversion is really nice, too. Love Dougal's base.

Alrighty, got a few better pics after I sealed stuff last night. Maybe I'm crazy, but the matte finish looks like it frosted a little on some of they Nyss (Cylena especially). Could be worse, I just wish the purple was brighter. Anyways, here's a few more pics.

I was hoping so .. imitation is the highest for of flattery so thank you You cloak is soooo much better than mine though. I love the way it drapes and comes over her face. Here's mine:

Great job on that Anastasia di'Bray AmazonWarlord! I actually really like your cape too. It looks way more dynamic than mine does.

Getting on with my painting update, I have a lot of pics since it's been a while since I updated this thread, but I have not been idle.

I just finished McBain in addition to touching up my Nomad to match him better.





I finished Boomhowler's a while ago so that I wouldn't be deathly afraid of facing eLylyth with my Mercs (Solid Ground & 4+ tough is awesome).



And I've also got Alexia & her undead painted up to hardcore standards now just in case any of those events spring up around here.



I would have sworn that I've painted more than that since April, but *shrug* dunno.
