Hello all, I was originally going to post here when I joined and saw alot of posts of questions and people new to the game, so that set me back from it, with some thought though, I decided that, "hey, I'm sure it'd be better to post a little about myself in the new members area before showing up everywhere else with all sorts of posts". So here I am. I suppose I'll tell you how I started about a year ago-ish.
My mate, HighLordJr, decided 40k was boring and no longer as fun for me, and 'hey we should try that hordes/warmachine game'. He had a box of Skorne at the time, and said he played once or twice, but didn't really remember the rules. So I looked through the Hordes and Warmachine books, couldn't really take a liking to the machines as hard as I tried (the only one I would ever try would be cryx) but the hordes was intriguing.
After alot of thought and looking at the models, I narrowed it down to Legion and Circle. I actually got the battlebox of Legion first, and got a box of incubi to go with it. Then almost immediately turned around and bought the circle battlebox, and fell in love with the models. Yes, I'm the type of person who picks an army based on how the models look rather than how good/broken the lists can be. Circle was basically the worst at the time (or so I've been told) but I didn't care, that wouldn't effect my painting.
So here I am now, I actually have at least one of every single model/unit thats currently been released and only a few of them are fully painted.....and even worse, only one's based. As much as I love painting I can't concentrate solely on it and as a result it gets done very slowly. Not to mention that there is a sizeable handful of models that are between close to done and just started, I can't seem to concentrate on one at a time.
Alright, enough with the going on about me, now you all should have a fair idea of who I am (A.D.D. painter) and what brought me to the game (wolves zomg). Feel free to ask any questions, I won't be shy, and oh yeah, I'll get to meet the lot of you in the flesh at TempleCon!!
P.S. I'm not the greatest player in the world but that doesn't stop me from having fun when I play!
