Been a while since an update. Painted up my unit of winterguard but they are too embarrassing to post up here, lol. So here is my current WIP (That I am actually liking so far), Karchev and MoW leader.

simply gorgeous looking army. The desert color works very very well and I must say your one arm red scheme is awesome! Very unique and looks good with the desert color. Can't wait to see more!
Seventh, you just made the Behemoth look amazing i am stunned by the way you positioned the thing. i dont know how you got it stable in that position but i am impressed. wow so so good.
You also did a great job on the Beast09 inspiring stuff.
"...Nothing to do now, but watch the whole world die..."
Thanks xDoomx! The Behemoth repose was definitely a challenge.
Here is the completed Karchev (Not too happy about how this turned out)

I tried something new with my first Devastator. I had two goals. 1: to make the outside shell perfect and maintained while making everything inside the shell look unpainted and untouched by mechaniks. 2: was to ramp up the contrast a little bit to make the inside look dark and foreboding while throwing some great shadows on the plates on top. I think i did this pretty well. Most the the shadows shown here are painted on and not from the light source. including the ones on the base. I am afraid the inside will look lazy to the outsider who doesnt know what I was trying to accomplish, but it was actually a fair amount of work:/
Anyway, here it is:

It surprised me how well Thornwood Green can make a good looking shadow on a khaki base.
I love that Kovnik joe.
184pts. Khador Painted with 13pts. to go.
29pts. Mercs. Unpainted
Stuff is still looking amazing, SP!![]()

one red arm devastator is AWESOME!!
Thanks guys![]()
That is a nice looking shadow. Very nice looking army by the way. Keep pumping out those models. I have to admit that the single red arm is a cool variant.
Most people say that what some people say is pretty stupid.

Old Witch:

It was kind of tough incorporating the same theme on this model. Decided to add red to the scarf and back as well here. Tied it in much better than just the shoulder and hand wraps.
Update: I decided to change up the Old Witch's hair, eye-patch and right eye. Tried to make her look a little more , well... old. and powerfull. Hope I pulled it off. Also started my WIP on Scrapjack. I hated his eyes, so i puttied over the whole head and made something new. I am liking it so far. A lot more work do on him though. Anyway, here they are:

Lovin' it! As usual!

The glowing eye on the Old Witch really makes a huge difference, really makes the model pop. She now looks powerful and sinister.
Your army is looking fantastic, nice work!

If you got the money, invest in a portable light box!
Search for it on amazon ;p They are around $50USD or less and work great!
Very nice colour choice. It is a nice departure from the fully red army. Really like the Butcher! (though my caster has gotten butchered by him more than I can count, haha!)
Thanks guysI know i need a better light source (and camera for that matter). The living room couch/iphone combo doesn't do the colors there justice :P
My Spriggan WIP

That Spriggan is awesome looking. Great movement with the flag.
When attacked by a gang of clowns, go for the juggler!
DUDE!!! Seeing this thread has given me some new inspiration for my Khador army. I was stummped on what I wanted to do so I just went with a Grey/Red scheme, but I was not too happy with it...seeing this I just had visions of Khador Jacks painted in WWII German armor schemes from Africa and Italy campaigns!! Thanks for posting your work!
That bohemoth just looks great, very dynamic and "un-jack" like

One year after painting my first model. My MoW Shocktroopers.

I can't believe you have been doing this for such a short time. Even your first minis were good by the standards of some. In one year you've managed to put together a cohesive, great looking force at a good points value with a unique theme. You've pushed yourself forward with every model. I predict in a few years you will be winning trophies should you choose to try. Bravo.

Wow, thank you. I think that's the best complement I've ever gotten![]()
Well, I mainly post in another smaller forum where I am known for not mincing my words when it comes to criticism. I mean what I say. Do you have an art background? Schooling or degree or anything like that? It would explain why you were getting good results from the off.
No, just a soldier. Took up the hobby as a way of deconflicting. Zoneing out and just concentrating on the model in hand is super relaxing. Loving it. I Like learning from the awesome artists here. Anyway, thanks for the comment, I was about to abandon this thread![]()
No way. I think sometimes threads get lost when there are so many updates which is why you got few (no) replies to the last update. You've finally started taking better pics too so don't abandon it. I'd love to see some individual shots of the MoW.
Great stuff! How are you doing your coppers, such as on Beast 09? I havent found a good base color for that
When I did beast I was using testors enamel. It was destroying my brushes. I have since moved on to base coat of Tin Bitz, dwarven copper over that and highlight scorched gold. Now that tin Bitz is out, I need to find a good replacement for that.
Dude, those MOW are superb. The armor just looks great, very smooth painting - well done mate. As The Antipope says, you should be very proud. This is outstanding work for someone who only got into this hobby 1 year ago.
Doom Reaver WIP. Tried a new kind of dread-lock look on the leaders hair. Think it came out looking good. As always, harsh criticism welcome. Always looking for ways to improve these.
