    Default Converted Harbinger

    Greets,

I really like the stock model, and the concept. But it always seemed a little too busy for me. I also didn't quite see the Harbinger carrying a banner.

I saw someone do a similar conversion (he used a different acolyte to carry the banner) which I really liked, so I did one too.

    Here she is:

Need to fix a small gap in her belly with some putty, and I also plan on doing something to make the pole less boring.
She is also missing her shoulder pads (which I can't glue yet cause they will prevent me from painting) which will be swapped for knights exemplar shoulder pads that both look better size for her, and will tie her nicely with my exemplars.

    Hope you like.

One of the funny parts to me is reading back-to-back reports on a given model about how broken it is and then about how it's not worth anywhere near its cost.

I love it and I agree, her normal model with all the acolytes is just too busy. Your conversion is quite nice and sure looks like it makes the banner more stable. That flat bendy "pole" on the stock model is a damn joke.

Her other hand that was holding the banner looks a bit odd as-is. If you can pull it off, make her hand in flames or something.

I like that Idea, I will certainly give it a shot.

How about giving her a shield in the other hand? I think she'd look snazzy with a shield.

Other than that, I'd suggest trying to center her on the base as much as possible - in my opinion it looks weird when a model looks like it is about to fall off the edge of the base instead of standing proudly at the centre.

Very nice. Get that girl painted I am eager to see her with the different shoulder pads. I dont have any for mine so you may be giving me a excuse to change mine up a little more.

Hmmm, I like the shield idea too. I will play around with it and see how it goes.

I will also try and move her a bit towards the middle of the base.

I also gave my Harbinger exemplar shoulder pads, actually (and gave the Harbinger pads to a Seneschal). I'll have to get a shot of her at some point.

A Harbinger conversion without wings? I don't get it.

Seriously, nice work. I love our little floating prophet.

Filled the gab in her stomach, added an element to the base, which I wanted to do. Broken pillar.
She is more centred now, does indeed look better.
Decided not to do anything with the banner's pole.
    Added sand and some stones.

About the shield, It looks good without the shoulder pads, but with it looks a bit weird.
After I'll paint her and glue the shoulder pads, I'll see about adding a shield.

She looks a lot like a super hero in this conversion.

The Harbinger should be the tallest model on the table.

Sorry guys, forgot to check this thread sooner. I've started a new thread with the requested pics as to not clutter up this one. The new thread is here:
