    Default Machine Wraith

I searched the forums and there were no results. I was playing today with a machine wraith and some questions came up.
When my wraith takes control of a jack, does the jack lose upkeep spells on it?
Is the jack no longer a friendly model for the opponent in terms of targeting?
When does the other player spend focus to try to regain the jack, during the casters activation or when I activate the jack the next turn? the wording is rather unclear with the uses of It's.
    Thanks guys.

The description of Machine Meld specifies

"Effects on this model when it is removed from the table expire."

Therefor the Jack looses his upkeep spells.

Since you take control of the Jack you are now the Controller and the Jack becomes a enemy model for your opponent.

"If the warjack is in range, take control of it and remove this model from the
    table.

Also the description of Machine Meld is quite clear.

"If the warjack was part of a battlegroup, while it is in its former controllerʼs control area during its activation the former controller can spend focus
points to attempt to regain control of it at 1 focus point per attempt. If it does so, the former controller and this model each roll a
    d6 and add their CMD."

The Warcaster must try to regain control in his activation.

In my opinion this is one of the main tasks of the Machine Wraith. Your meld the Jack. Your opponent can't allocate focus since its not his jack in the allocation phase and he must activate before the jack if he wants to use it.

Actually after reading the last part several times i'm not so sure anymore. The description is a little confusing. But if the former controller would make the test while you are activating the jack he would need to camp focus to do so.
Best to wait on an Infernal commenting on this.

    ...
Effects on Machine wraith expire, not on jack.
Stolen jack has all spell effects and upkeeps still on it.

Macallan said here that Machine Meld refers to the warcaster's activation for driving the Machine Wraith out of the jack.

See, it is confusing with all of the its. And so if he wants to retake the jack, the caster must activate first, boot the wraith, and then he can activate the jack? correct?

    Thank you for the clarification.
