It was the introduction of Titans (the Imperorator, and Mega-Gargants) into the Epic game at the time. It was a boxed set that pitted Orks vs. Imperial Guard and had a few Titans, tanks, stompas, etc.

yeah don't get me wrong......that was completely stupid and i'll never do it again......heck, i can barely do 8's anymore

there's actually a long story behind it. but for the cliff note, i worked 43 straight, my journeyman worked 50+ at the same time, and i got escorted home by the police.......good times.

On another note; just ordered some custom foam for my War Hog's, and some 'jacks. I made a 3.5" tray that's going to hold 3 Hogs, the T-Head, 2 Gun Boars, 1 standard bearer, 6 'jacks/beasts, and 3 med. based, or large small based models. Oh, and a P3 paint bag to add another 5" of foam to my bag in case I need it. I have quite a few standard load out trays left over from my initial purchase, and I probably won't need to buy foam again...until I start another faction anyways.

I should have asked if anyone wanted to go in before ordering to save some shipping. Ah well, that's what happens when I impulse buy something for my b-day.

I'd just go and build your own custom tray. All the shapes are in the tray creator. That way, you get exactly what you want, and no pluck foam needed.
That's why I just made my own. I'll be doing the same for my BE's. When I order that one, I'll make sure to get orders from everyone.

LnL will have all that stuff on hand as well usb. Then you don't have to get hosed on the shipping.

Oh, and there was no forethought or planning with my order....very impulsive.

it's ok, and the reason for the pluck foam i want, is my modification to the wraith makes him too big to stand upright in any of the trays that b-foam makes. so i want the pluck foam to "tier" the foam so that he can lay on his side and still be fully supported. And i'm wanting this so i can take him to L&L...

Also, if anyone's interested in buying some gators... I'm pretty sure I want to just focus on Cygnar, just because I really dont want to keep having to ask Vynde what to do with fury >.> (That and I'm not the biggest fan of painting gators)

They have lots of shapes in the custom foam creator, and foam up to 8" high.....you can also just do a tracing, and send it off to get made.

But, I know what you mean by wanting to lay it on its side. 5" height will work for that. Not sure if you can get pluck foam that deep though.

yeah, i've made enough mountains for 7 tables. i'll bring them all tomorrow, along with a few chunks of left over foam. i'm pretty sure they make pluck foam in 4.5", and that'd be enough, as my model doesn't hang off the base much, and the base is 4.25" thick......i will look into the custom trays......i could do an 8" half tray and 2 2.5" and 1 3" half trays.......i'm sure i'll figure it out......the thing i was thinking about the 4.5" and laying him sideways, is then i could put him in the wood box i'd made, and just use my bag for the rest of my army.

Shipping is generally about $40, so we'll split it depending on how many of us order.

And pluck foam comes in a max height of 4" usb. So, you can't get it for your BE; you'll have to build a custom tray. You can only make full custom trays, and not half trays. However, you can get two BE's, and like 5 jacks in one full tray.

You could build a 4.5" tray, and just have a large rectangle for your BE. Check out the editor, there's a lot you can do with it.

I am out of town this coming weekend but will post a message here for next weekend and if someone is up to it I will definitely come down for a game or 2. I promised the wife a weekend in Spokane so she could go shopping but Sunday March 4 i am totally up for a game. I will post it again later next week but I do hope that i can find someone to play. My goal is to play in the steamroller event in April and i am trying to paint my army as well as find 2 list that works for my style (not to mention trying to learn the rules). looking forward to meeting you guys next weekend.

That sounds awesome, how many points are you guys playing? Also just wanted to say that i was really disappointing in myself for not noticing that ghoul was putting on a "how too" clinic this past sunday. I would have loved to pick up some terrain building tips as well as some painting tips.

I have a painting demo scheduled about once a month, so you'll have plenty of time to get some tips.

We generally have about 8-10 guys out every Sunday, and you should be able to get a minimum of one game in, more likely two or three, if they're smaller point size games.

I also have our Domination event planned for March 11th, all day. Warmachine armies are welcome, as are any point sizes. It's a casual event, where you play as many games as you can, and win some prizes. It'll cost $10, but I always have a Biggest Loser, and Best Painted Army prize, in addition to all the coins I have to give away for loot. I assume most people will walk away with at least something, as I have 7 coins to give away, in addition to a bunch of gift certificates.

It's also a good environment to learn in, as it's scenario based, and non-competitive.

I certainly look forward to seeing you out, and we can show you the ropes...or get you up against them.
