I think for the first 3 months we got together we all called each other by our forum names. The first time vynde met my wife I introduced him to her I used his forum name.

Omg.......I just got a sweet idea for t-shirts for L&L.........muahahahaha......it'll be great.
It's not you he hates......it's our faction. He is well aware of the difficulty involved in assembling some of our models. As I said before, you just need good glue and a pin drill (if you can find one, the p3 set that has drill, bits and brass rods in the one pack is the best bang for your buck) and learn to take your time. I rarely have issues with models and when I do it's a piece I should have pinned but did not at the time, and I learned from my mistakes.
I feel there is more truth to this than theface would have me believe. :0
I have done all the stuff you speak of USB. I just lack the patience and desire to mess around with another pewter model. Its not that I have found any of the assembly process particularly difficult, just distasteful. If I have to be honest I don't particularly care for PP's models. What I do like is you guys, (Even Ghool, in spite of his negative feelings towards me) I don't know if you all know how rare it is to find a really good group of nerds. And to a slightly lesser extent I enjoy the game. (even though I have admittedly played very little of it)
Vynde takes the prize for my most-hated. You don't even come close.
I agree that it is hard to find a 'cool' group of nerds, and we certainly have one.
If you don't like the models, is it just Cryx? Or, is it the entire range that you don't really care for?
I find a lot of the new players who like to play the 'bad guy' factions will choose Cryx for that reason alone. And most of them have no idea how difficult it is to put together all those itty bitty parts, and spikes all over the place.
Perhaps another faction choice might be in order?
After Lock n' Load, bring some of your models in during my painting demos, and I can assist you in getting them assembled. I'm really pressed for painting time right now, but I should have more to help you out once the convention (and my Pigs) is done.
Hey guys sorry i couldnt make it out today! I was able to get my army book and a box of choir of menoth yesterday.
Any suggestions what to get next?
Also whats good fot army buikding program or website wise? Army Builder and forwardkommander give me different point values, not sure what to trust.
I just use the cards and book. I do think that ForwardCommander has the correct values however.
As BleenoMore suggested above, pick a 'caster, then ask for suggestions. Are you planning to stick with just Kreoss?
And no worries about today. Next Sunday will work better anyways, as I don't have any events to run, and I'll be able to give you my full attention for a demo.
Looking forward to it ghool! Going to stick with kreoss in the beginning here... Can't wait for my rulebook to arrive so it all makes a bit more sense lol
My advice is this, if your planning on keeping Kreoss for awhile stay at 35pts, and keep it flexible. Kreoss1 is all about Denial(Lamentation, Purification, Dispel) & Assassination (Feat). Supportwise Kreoss has Defenders Ward which is an amazing spell and perfect for units.
So now for suggestions based on this info, Exemplar Errants with UA are flexible and every caster can get mileage out of them. Blessed Crossbows for range, swords for up close, Pathfinder and the ability to decide who dies can bring berserkers to a halt or give you the objective. They gain hunter with the Senechel and a leadership boost.
Reckoner is a good jack, reach, focus efficient, fast, and really good special rules. Vanquisher is also very good, flexible and can use Kreoss feat quite well. Covenant for further denial, Vassals to further support your jacks and you have a pretty nasty force and four points to add your own touch. The best part is these models can work with most menoth casters.
Any recommendation for looking at a second caster to expand with in the future?
I LOVE that there are themes with casters, make it so much more interestingB
Depends on what your looking for in a caster, most of what menoth has to offer are great. I personally wasn't a fan of the High Reclaimer, Testament or either Kreoss. But different casters for different play styles.
Quick rundown, specifics can be found in Cannon of True Law in the menoth forum.
Amon- Assassination/Support(jacks)
Feora1 - Pure Assassination
Feora2 - Assassination/Support(jacks)
High Redeemer - Denial/Attrition
Testament - Attrition/Denial
Harbinger of Menoth - Attrition/Support/Denial - Personal Favorite
Severius1 - Pure Support
Serverius2 - Support/Control
Thyra - Pure Assassination - Second to Harbinger
Vindictus - Support/Denial
Reznik - Assassination/Denial
Kreoss1- Denial/Assassination
Kreoss2- Assassination*feat button/Support
Hi guys, it's been a busy few days over here in rainy Glasgow.
Managed to sell the rest of my Warhammer 40k/fantasy collection. So I have a fair amount of spending cash to start collecting a couple of new armies when I hit sunny Calgary.
Right now I am thinking about a Trollkin force and a Warhammer Fantasy army (probably Tomb Kings). I have the basics of a Menoth force but the more I read about the trollkin the more I love them. I don't see me having the time to grow 2 warmachine forces and I would like to start playing with you guys relatively quickly.
Either way I am looking forward to starting my new life in Calgary. The sale of the house should be completed soon and work knows I'm leaving. Full steam ahead
Now back to my Trollkin book.
YAY.......we don't have any troll players in our group yetAlso, good to hear you're excited to make it out here......personally i love the city (just don't tell anyone that lives here i said that, i have an image to upkeep) there's a reason i've been here for 28 years and counting

Thanks
I have a lot to learn about Trolls and Hordes in general. I have only played Warmachine so far but I would rather collect Trolls. Love the fluff and the models are excellent. I still have a few months before the move though, so that is plenty of time to learn the basics.
I have lived in Canada before but never Calgary. I need a city close by as I grew up in Glasgow. I hope Calgary is a good fit for me.
I've increased the video length upload on my YouTube account Dawn.
Also, if you guys are watching them, and care to help me make a few more pennies for my efforts, please click on the ad links. You don't need to buy anything, or even care about what's advertised. I get paid per click, not if anything gets sold. Just let the page open, and close it right away. I do this for all the videos I myself watch, to give a few pennies of appreciations for those making the videos.
The next two weeks are just open gaming, and the next painting demo is on May 6th. The next tournament is on May 20th. Check Here for the details of the tournament.
Damn......long weekend SR........oh well.....i guess i can't make every tournament
unfortunately, with use going to seattle the weekend before LnL we'll be going out of town that weekend, to visit the parents.....and take the cat out there.
Hey,
So I just came to the sad realization of how sick I am cause Capt. Damiano has the spell Money Shot... LMFAO!
Also got a thing from Team Covenant they have Colossals up for Pre-Order and they're cheap. Check it out here's the link!
http://teamcovenant.com/store/warmac...pre-order.html
Woo! New Sig Pic.......i got rather adventurous (not really, but really for me) and experimented with my new picture editor program.......i like how it turned out......now lets see if i get reamed out for using the PP pre-made sig's.......i hope not, cuz i like it![]()
Thanks for that link. Those prices seem very cheap to me. I'm not just talking about the Colossals either. Is this the average cost for warmahordes in North America? Or is this just a very cheap online store?
The reason I ask is that I normally use an online retailer here in the UK to buy models. But I have no idea what online retailers are best when buying in Canada. Any links would be very helpful guys. In particular GW stuff seems very expensive over there compared to the UK.
Cheers!
The GW stuff is generally more expensive from what i hear, and online retailers usually have a little price break compared to brick and mortar stores. Most stores are relatively on par with the listed retail price in the gallery.
Just check out Meeplemart. They have GW and PP stuff at good discounts.
And yes, the mark-up on GW stuff is much greater here than in the UK.
However, PP products are much cheaper.
And thanks Dawn!
Next week, I'll be collecting orders and money for the Chess Clocks.
If you want one for yourself, just bring $35, which includes the shipping cost to the Sentry Box on Sunday. I think the tally was 8 clocks, not including mine. So, we'll have enough for 18 players by the time the Mayday! tournament rolls around.
