I just noticed that Dallas is running a Warmachine night at Trilogy on Thursdays as well now. I'm wondering if that's going to have any effect on the Sentry Box group?

Just a quick FYI on this- the only reason we picked Thursday was it was the only day I could commit, and was in no way set up to conflict with your groups 2nd night. We have to rebuild from scratch as all the terrain and tables left when the old club chose a new venue. Since it was already Strange Aeons night we just modified it for all things miniatures-- painting/terrain/gaming, for any system.

We are also hoping to work with the other 2 local warmachine groups, as so events never stack, and encouraging our players to participate in ALL events. I think (hope?) I have a fairly good rep with the 2 PG's in town, and hope to pick their brains and get some friendly cross club interactions. We also thinking of running the leagues slightly behind the others so if people missed out On a coin/patch they can catch up.

I didn't know all the stuff from the past about the store, but know it has had some bad press in the past (if anyone can fill me in via a PM, great! As I don't want to make those same mistakes.). I think we have found level headed solutions to 99% of the issues, and hope to get some games going early August.

Wish you the best of luck trying to get the trilogy group up and running. With enough notice i will certainly make an effort to attend events.

It's been actually months since I moved to Calgary but just started unpacking my Warmachine last week.
Need to get practice with 25pt games. Not used to so low a points value but it's for a tourney coming up in Edmonton end of September.

We meet on Sundays at Sentry box from 11-5 sometimes it will end sooner. We also meet on Thursdays at 6-10(again ends sooner usually)

Summer rampage this Sunday is indeed an opening gaming event, with prizes and badges, entry is 10$ we'll mostly be playing 35p becuase the event does stipulate for every 10 points on warbeasts/war jacks you can have 5 points of units

Also for this event, our TO will be doing "Raffle" prizes, so for entering you will get a raffle ticket, and for every game you play you'll get a ticket, so people who don't do well during the games, still have a decent chance to get a prize or some sort. Most of our events 1/2 of the people who participate walk away with something.

Team tourney is done......Great games had by all......the final between brynn and myself and Gord and jeremy (i think that's his name) was an intense nailbiter, and possibly one of the best games i've had in a while. Top 3 teams are posted on the Cogs forum.

All kinds of awesome stuff! its basically the same idea but we are trying to make it more social. We have put a club "fee" in to help support the website/terrain/tables and also eventually support some member only events. It isnt required to pay to play with us or anything, you just won't get some of the benefits, and obviously the more people we can get commited the better the community will be.

Ps where did you move too? you just kind of disappeared lol.

We will be hosting a Breast Cancer Brawl @ Myth Games on Saturday October 20, 2012. I really hope to get as many people out to this event as possible, since it's for charity. Entry fee will be $10, with all fees going to one of the Breast Cancer Societies. Rules pack is available here:

I really hope to have a lot of guys turn out to this one since it's for charity. Next year I'd like to look at holding it at an open venue and having support from all 3 stores/clubs.
