hey Moose, i am 36 with 1 kid just about to turn 5 and a wife that can't understand why i want to waste my, or should i say our money, on miniature games. I have been looking for someone to play a game and have a beer as my old gaming group (come from New Brunswick, East cost of Canada) use to get together and have a few pops (Beer in case you are not up to date to our lingo) There is one guy i have met here that i have been able to paint with and play a few games while sharing said pops but i am sure as i get to know the rest of the group of players at the Sentry Box we could find someone else to get a game with and share some pops.

As for dices Dawnloard, i am in for some custom dices. Just let me know when and who i have to pay and it's a done deal.

Also, i order from discount_game_store from ebay once in a while and the shipping is free to Canada even if it say something on the main page. They do not charge anything when you check the shipping page and i have ordered multiple times from there and the shipping is usually 2 weeks with a 25-30% discount off of MSRP. I know it won't help you this time i thought i let you all know of this great ebay store. I once got the wrong item shipped to me and they sent me the correct item immediately and let me keep the incorrect item.

Actually, on the local forums, Dickens pub hosts gaming on Sundays, which is not too far from the Sentry Box. If we did go there, Graycross wouldn't be able to attend, as he's the only minor.

Oh, and I could ask for an after hours room key, or some one else could. That would allow the group to play there when they wanted outside of store hours. I wouldn't see it being a problem to bring some beer then.

It's totally ghools call as he is the TO, but IMO proxies cant be allowed in a SR, sets a pretty bad precident.. I agree with dawn, try discount games on ebay, i always get my orders in 1-1.5 weeks. Or steal Ghools wysh and maybe myth/sentry has the arcanist

Right now I am loving the time difference form the UK and Canada. I get into work, check this board and I can read through a ton of funny comments made since I posted the day before.

Really glad to see that some of you guys are as old as me and have kids (Ghool, Cowboyempire, us old guys have to stick together ). Even happier to read that you also enjoy a few Ales as you wargame. Those who are of age of course

Obviously I have never been to the sentry box, or any of the other clubs you game at, but getting your hands on an after hours key sounds like a winning idea to me. I know I would be happy to bring a case of beer with me wherever I go.

We tend to organise our own over here. The are lovingly named "Geekfest's". Normally consisting of Warhammer Fantasy/40k, Warmachine, Magic (MTG), Console gaming, lots of beer. Nothing like getting away for a couple of days.

I am now really looking forward to making the move over. It is daunting to just drop everything and change your life by moving to another country. Knowing that you guys are there with the same interests as myself is a great help.

Lock and Load is a convention held by privateer press in Seattle, large tournaments, get to meet the staff, they have seminars about painting, sculpting, and all kinds of stuff. Its gonna be a blast.

I'm going to start working on him ASAP, I'm thinking warp him for strength, forced Evo for +2 Str and defense, then primal +2 Str and Mat. Plus eKaya gives free charges to living beasts. Mwahahahaha! Plus unyielding

I'll take a Pow 23 and Pow 20 initial at MAT 9 any day. With def 16 arm 19 to protect him. So what if he frenzies next turn.

Last year was awesome, and this year they added an extra day. It really is a lot of fun. The staff, and all the Warmachine guys are pretty cool. There was only one weirdo there that we ran into, which was quite surprising. The PP games seems to attract down-to-earth, and casual, yet competitive people.

I'm hoping to have Targ and Sturm & Drang done by this weekend. If I can get a bunch of painting done in the next few days that is. My kids have been pretty good this week, allowing me to get about 2 hours of painting in a day.

Could anyone that is wanting to get in on the second order of custom dice please see it in their hearts to get your wants and desires to Dawn as soon as possible? Our first set has taken quite a bit of time to arrive, and I'm practically pitching a tent (its only a pup tent, so I might have room for one more) in anticipation to see my second set of idea's on the table.

Out of all the PP models that you all have purchases how many times have you had to email PP about missing parts/cards or miscasts? I maybe have like 15 - 20% of the Cryx army and I've had to email them 4 different times now. It's like going through a drive through getting home and seeing that you're missing your fries. And because there's not a lot of places that sell PP models you don't have the option of going back and buying another to replace it. It's all well and good that PP will send out a missing part for free, but I don't really want to eat my fries a month after I ate my burger.

In the 5 years that I've been buying models, I've had 4 mispacks, and two miscasts.
Granted, it gets worse as the volume increases, but it's not that bad. If you find a mispack, the Sentry Box will usually exchange it, no questions asked. If it's in stock that is....

And the April Fool will make an appearance during a single scenario.
The other scenarios will have something equally as difficult/annoying to deal with/think about.

Also, don't forget that the Fool will screw with your opponent as much as yourself. This is why each player will get to activate him on their turns.

I'm trying to get the Steamroller trophies for this one, but if that falls through, it'll just be gift cards again.
