Yes, I will be there this weekend for sure. Got everything put back together today, and I am feeling nice things about gaming again haha. Definitely burned myself out, half my stuff getting mauled/dropped/crushed didn't help, and then working Sunday nights.. was bad combo.
I am back to free and clear for Sundays, so should be there eerrrday.

My entire troll blood force got pulverized by a speaker box falling on them (cat related). And my daughter played a game of Cygnar vs the cat and a lot of Sword Knights/Jacks/Longgunners didn't survive all that well. I'm guessing she had everything lined up on the edge of the table (as high as she can reach) and then the cat knocked everything down. It was my fault for leaving everything out like a jackass.
I think I might need to get a new cat. :P

you're an evil hearted SOB.......gotta love it.
Yeah man, it was great fun. It has really got me excited about playing more Warmahordes. I just don't know if I should start painting up the Menoth I have right now or wait till I get to Calgary.
I would like to re-base them I think. Put them on cork and pin them before painting. The problem is that I don't know how to do that. I have no experience in pinning and It looks like it's necessary if I am planning on making a fancy base. I have more reading to do.
Cheers.

here is an article/video done by none other then Ghool, might be able to help you with pinning.
I just make sure the cork is thick enough, and cut out a chunk for the tab. I used to pin the feet, but it's much easier, and more sturdy if you just insert the tab right into the cork. Cover the tab with some white glue and sand, and there's no need for pins.
If you've never pinned anything before, I'm surprised your models are staying together. I always have a good chuckle when the guys break their models during play. And I always say the same thing, 'Pin that s--t!'
You trying to tell me that you wouldn't pin a Ravagore arm? Or a spike? Those are two parts that must be pinned. You can get away with the legs because they're attached to the torso and base, giving them added durability.
Free standing parts like arms and spikes should be pinned.
i pin the bajesus out of stuff......expecially since i can use the PP pin drill and mount it into my 18v hammerdrill.......drilling pin holes at 3000rpm is awesome!

Vynde, i plan on attending the Comic Con tourney
Vynde, where is this GROTS tourney being held? I would be interested but I don't know anything about it. Where do i find the info
Its going to be in red deer. GROTS is a gaming group/club in Red deer. http://grots.ca/forum/index.php?topic=2451.0
Yah i understand USB, I'll have to make it up somewhere but my GFs pretty cool with it haha.
Thanks for the video link Vynde, and thanks for the advice Ghool. The vid is great and will be helpful to me when I start to buy metal models. But I should have said that the models I am dealing with are the plastic Menoth battlebox models. They are all assembled and very sturdy.
Pretty much all my 40k and Warhammer Fantasy models are plastic. So no real need to pin. I have dropped them from a few feet and nothing has broken off.
Like I said before, I would like to add something extra to the base of the jacks and warcaster. As they are plastic and very light I guess I can simply use glue to fix them to the cork then? Even though its Jacks and not the smaller models? I have never worked with cork on a base I thought I should ask the experts first.
Ghool: Congrats on selling the car. I will need to sell my Ford Focus before I come over. Not looking forward to it at all!
Cheers.
