The above is my personal opinion, and in no way should be taken as representative of the overall Skorne community. Even when I claim otherwise.
Skorne on date ... when did Primal Mk I hit again?

How about some alternate-paint scheme CYGNAR?! And after that, why not spend some time in the woods with my CIRCLE ORBOROS...?!Originally Posted by Saufzwerg

I need copper steam kettles! Where can I find a copper paint that looks like this?
I want the boilers and stacks on my Mariners and Freebooters and Bucanneers and maybe even my Talons and Nomads to have boilers like this. Please help me. Would I be best off fiddling with Molten Bronze and adding somthing(s) to it to acceive that fantastic bright red copper sheen, or should I go outside the bounds and look a Vallejo, Testors or Tamiya? Thanks for your help, all!!!
I think trying to lighten bronze is the wrong way to go.
For that color I'd try brass either mixed or washed with a bit of brown ink then spot highlighed with a bright silver. Priming or base coating those boilers white would probably also help.
Here are links to my ongoing Khador and Everblight project logs.

No picks of my armies as wholes yet - still painting!
Your mind may or may not be blown by the fact that this paint is utterly cheap, but this is how I did the exact same effect about 10 years ago on Skaven stuff; it was DecoArt Dazzling Metallics Copper (yes, I know) highlighted up with silver. That's it. Later on I evolved my technique slightly, and I mixed in some Vallejo Game Color Bright Bronze in the highlight, but the big point I'm trying to make is if you want that clean copper effect, you want to highlight to silver.
Thinking with something other than my pair, since 1986.
My instrument is the Cryxophone and it makes music that sounds a lot like souls spiraling into the abyss.

Hey AS!
On Handcannon, I think it was Althai who did a tutorial on painting oxidization on bronze. They used the back of a seether and washed a green onto it to make it look old and rusting around the rivets. I can't remember for the life of me. That should be added to the blogosphere and this forum (your post).
And maybe it wasn't handcannon. Where was it? I know I read about it because I have pirates and did it for them.
