    Default MHSF or Stormfalls?

    So here's the list:

    Kaelyssa, Night?s Whisper - +7 warjack points
    -Chimera ? 6 points
    -Manticore ? 8 points
    Dawnguard Sentinels (maximum) ? 9 points

    -Sentinel Officer and Standard ? 2 points
    -Soulless Escort ? 1 point
    -Griffon ? 4 points
    Mage Hunter Strike Force (maximum) ? 8 points
    -Mage Hunter Strike Force Commander ? 2 points
    Arcanist ? 1 point
    Eiryss, Mage Hunter of Ios ? 3 points
    Ghost Sniper ? 2 points
    Dahlia Hallyr and Skarath ? 9 points
    Lanyssa Ryssyl, Nyss Sorceress ? 2 points

    Now, when I first wrote this up, I hadn't really looked at the Stormfall Archers. I just wasn't interested for whatever stupid reason. Now that I've heard everyone talk about how awesome they are, and having taken a good hard look at their rules myself, I'm wondering if I should swap out the Mage Hunters for two units of Stormfalls. The other option is to dump Dahlia and the Arcanist, or play games with what solos I'm using, but I really like how those models work in my army and don't really want to lose them. Any thoughts on which is better for my army, MHSF or Stormfalls?

    In my experience I'd trim this from your list as I see little need for it:

    - Lanyssa Ryssyl: Unless your sure your facing Legion, Drop Her
    - Dahlia and Sarath: Little need/Discordia does their job better
    - Griffon: Griffon's are usually taken with Vyros,Scyir or Invictors, Sentinels don't need it and it strains Kaelyssa's focus

    Instead I try,

    Kaelyssa
    *Discordia
    *Manticore
    Dawnguard Sentinels
    *Unit Attachment
    MHSF
    *Unit Attachment
    Arcanist
    eEiryss
    Ghost Sniper
    2x Stormfall
    2x MHA

    However If you like your current list I'd recommend keeping the Mage Hunters, Personally I find Kaelyssa runs MH better and Ravyn excels with Stormfalls.

    The simple answer is keep both.

    If you need 10 points to fit the 2x archers in, then drop Dahlia and Snake, and either the soulless or the arcanist.

    Ok having played a very similar list, and then listening to what most people say ( drop the snake, drop ryssyl) i can say that i completely disagree.

    But to answer your question first, It depends, they are both very good units to take depending on what style youd like to play. IF your playing a fast in your face, charge up and kill em kind of style leave the MHA. Personally i play a style of sit back let your enemy move set up traps run diversions and then when they find the oportune time to strike, ive found the Archers to be my unit, run them on the flanks and run diversions while my main force either spreads out to keep on the look out for openings, or turtles in and gets a strong defense position.

    But the best thing to do is test both, see which one you prefer, do three or four battles with each of them in your list and see which serves you better

    Now just to comment on the other things you were planning on removing and what others have said.

    In a list like this Ryssyl is always good IMO, she just bolsters anything and extends threat range a surprising distance esp with things that have reach( ie sentinels, just be sure to activate her first i forgot about her cause i was egar to attack and it was a massive mistake) She also is great with Kaelyssa, kaelyssa drops to 4 inch rough terrains per turn and Ryssyl stops anything with pathfinder, really good synergy.
    Kaelyssa is a very misunderstood caster. alot of people focus far to much on her feat, when it really isn't that good and doesn't need to be, her feat is situational at best, I win games without activating her feat. Her strength is her spells and her gun, and that means she needs all the focus she's got. For this reason jacks arent exactly her thing, so good job including the arcanist and the sentis. Keep the snake cause its basically a discordia that you never have to worry about focus.

    (also just a tip cast banishing ward on Dahlia, upkeep her haunting melody and charge her right infront of enemy troops, she becomes unstopable blocks charges and makes it so no enemy units in 8 inches can carry out any order, including runniing and chargeing. If you get her close enough her only weakness, aoe's, will run the risk of damaging their own models ^^, rember she can leech from her own life, so the snake doesnt need to be near her to do this [lets see discordia do that =P])
