Sadly, there is nothing that I know of farther out there. I'm originally from Woodridge, so when I started Warmachine I was largely playing with friends at my house.
Games Plus is going to be your best bet. Though, to be fair, it's an awesome group of people so I recommend making the drive.
For love. For honor. For Devilsquid.
New game in town. DeKalb Illinois. We play a ton.

I'm starting to play and have a few gw tables so have room to play. If you're interested send me a pm.
Unfortunately, all the stores in Chicagoland are either in the city or northern 'burbs. There are also stores in DeKalb and Gray's Lake as well but they're not really any closer. I know there are players that live south, so as you get to know people you may find some people to play at their house (or yours). But that would probably involve getting to know people first.
I do hope you can make it out. There's a good community in the Chicago area.
Hey, i'm in woodridge and i'm scraping together a play group. We'll probably be at our various houses, but it's closer than games plus. I'll ping you when we have a set time.
I'm also in Naperville looking for some Warmahordes games to get in. I play with a group now, but I've played less than 10 games and I have by far the most experience. I'll be making the drive to games plus this Saturday, but I'm looking to get some games to learn from more experienced players.
What time you heading to games plus? I just moved in this week and was planning to head up there too.
I'll be around. I should be getting there some where between noon and 1.
And I know another guy will be there. Hope to see you both there.
I plan to be there between noon and 12:15 depending on traffic. I've been in a frenzy trying to get some nihilators and an agonizer built, but I got them built and can't wait to try them out.
Come out to our Dekalb tourney. Starts at 1 reg starts at 12. Be a great time with a large group in the area. Address is 811 w Lincoln hwy Dekalb il 60115

I live in Naperville, (right off the highway off of Diehl) have a 4x6 table, terrain, have probably closer to 40-50 points of Khador and would love to play some games. New to the game but a fast learner and not new to miniature games. Would be willing to host or travel a bit but not interested in regularly going to games plus or Chicago....love them both but both are too far for last minute spontaneous games. PM me if you are interested.
I'm in Joliet, just learning. I was at Games + this saturday but just to pick up some new pieces. I've got the Trollblood and Circle warpacks that I'm getting ready for battle. I hope to have them ready for the table in a few weeks and would love some place to play where someone can walk me through some of the questions I have and not mind using the quick start rules until I'm comfortable with everything.
Fair Game in Downers Grove has started carrying PP products. I have been bringing my stuff down on Thursday nights to start showing some of the locals the basics. I will be there tomorrow night about 6:30 (9/15/11).

Does fair game have tables? Much closer to me than any of the other stores.
They have room to set up tables. I am working on a few tables currently that I bring on Thursday nights and they have set up a painting class with a local artist who is teaching fundamentals of painting, terrain making and basing on Tuesday nights. I can meet up there on al ost any night besides Tuesday or Friday for a game. I would love to get a good size group interested in running events there eventualy.

I got a realm of battle board I could bring.
I can play on Thursday nights. We are trying to get a community started in or around Downers Grove area. Fair Game in DG has given us Thursday nights to start wargaming. Looking to start a journeyman league in January here also.

While I like Fair Game a lot, unless they recently bought some new tables, they really don't have the terrain or the tables for the game...however, I am sure we could make it work. If you would prefer to be at Fair Game I would be willing to show up and play. Conversely, I have a nice 4X6 table and tons of terrain at my house and don't mind hosting two 4X3 games. Either way, PM if you are interested and we can arrange a game or two. :-)
Terrain is still in the process of growing, but the owner Josh has worked on several new pieces and I took up one of my boards so we have a proper 4x4 to smash face on.

What time do you arrive at Fair Game? I need to make sure one of my game bags will fit my Khador army but it should not be a big deal. How many points are we playing? I can play 50 plus...
I'd be willing to get in on a thurs night league depending on the time. I'm also in Naperville for games.
PM Grimdog if you are interested...I would PM you but you have that feature shut off.![]()
Does Fair Game have any 4x4 tables at the store? I just saw this post and I know a few people down in the Western/South Western suburbs I meet for games. This would be a lot closer than Games+.
They don't but some of the people bring 4x4 boards in order for things to work (from what I can tell from what I have heard while at the store.) I will know more this Thursday once I find out what time they are meeting on Thursday.
Anyone around the Grayslake area should check out Unique Gifts and Games. We have a great WarmaHordes community! We're there on Wednesdays.
Grayslake is really close to the western burbs...lol
I will be there by 6:30 at the latest. If we can show the owner that there is support for the game in the area I guarantee the tables etc will continue to grow. The same thing has happened with the magic crowd and memior 44 groups that play there.

Anyone going to Fair Game this week 12/15/2011? I can be there at anytime.
I'm thinking of going, really depends on the weather and how much sleep I've gotten though.
I'll be there around 6: to 6:30.

Hmm, thinking about it. I'm in Minooka, so Downers is a lot closer for me. Got a baby coming in January so dunno how much time ill get off then. Course that could drive me to show up more.![]()
Feeling extremely green (not the good kind) and don't want to get anyone else sick so tonight is a no go.
Im in minooka too, so if your ever looking for a game out south let me know.
