Default New to WM 15 pt Kaelyssa

Hi, I'm new to WM and Retribution
I am trying to put together a 15 point list
    So far i have

    Kaelyssa -7
    Hydra 9pt
    Chimera 6pt

    for 8 points

to fill the final 7 I was looking at

    Griffon 4pt
    Arcanist 1

and then with the final two I can fit in either
    Narn or a Ghost Sniper.

Was wondering what others thought and if I do go this way who should the Arcanist be with?

I really want to go more with Jacks and I don't want a MHU

    Any advice is appreciated

    thanks

    Tak

Anyways, welcome to RoS. Have you bought any models, or are you trying to get a list first?

That's quite a reasonable starting list... a good variant of what is considered our standard Bbox list. Though you may find it lacking in direct melee power.

With the Arcanist I'd probably go with the Ghost sniper, as Nayl can be hard to use. Though if you drop the Arcanist you can take Eiryss or Narn?

When you say you don't want an MHU, are you saying you don't want them at this point, or you don't want them at all?

    Your Right I meant Nayl.

as for the MHU, I just mean for now, I want to add them eventualy as I work up in points just wanted to keep it down to Jacks mainly for the first 15 points.

    I already have

    Kaelyssa -7
    Hydra 9pt
    Chimera 6pt

and am trying to figure out the next purchase.

I can always pick up Eiryss and try both.

When running the Arcanist which jack should I keep him close too, or does it matter ?

    Thanks for the comments

    Tak

It matters, but I'd play it out and get a feel for how you want to use him... to much premeditation will just add compound the difficulties of using him at first.

All of the jacks will benefit from his abilties, so just try to keep him in a position useful to more than one, and don't spread out too much in your first games.

If you want to go Jack heavy, then your previous ideas are all a good move.

As you move on, you might like to proxy/buy a selection of solos to fill those remaining 7 points instead. A mix of Narn, Eyriss, Nayl, Mage Hunter Assassins, Ghost Snipers and Magisters will fit well into those points... and all but the Magister are included in Kaelyssa's Tier lists (if you care about that).
