Hmm, I don't know if that's enough to make it worth taking, but it's certainly an improvement.

If you were to combine that with the bonuses from Rangers and Finn, we've got an incredibly accurate chain gun. Mind you, that's pretty much a best-case scenario, and with only a 10" threat range, and POW10, no matter how accurate it is, it's still not that scary most of the time.

TCG makes an awesome tool for scenario play, though. Lots of models suck in straight up "deathmatch" type games, but shine in the league-style fighting.

    Covering Fire is amazing.

The only problem with the TCG's covering fire is that you really have to get your initial placement of the TCG right in order to make good use of it, and even then at POW 10 it's good against most infantry, but there are plenty of things that can shrug it off. The Cyclone's covering fire, OTOH, cancels out both of those drawbacks, since you can easily move the Cyclone to where you want it in order to lay down the covering fire, and it's at POW 12. Granted, you pay a lot more for 2 covering fire templates with the Cyclone than you would for 2 TCGs, but IMO the Cyclone is worth the extra points because it's so much more durable and so much more versatile.

I'm not saying that the TCG's covering fire isn't situationally useful, but it's not that great either.

Run both, and put out a wall of lead the likes of which Caen has never seen.

True, I've actually been contemplating doing exactly that.

I've been curious about the TCG. The battle report in the latest NQ referred to POW 12 covering fire templates -- I know that the Cyclone has them, but the context seemed to imply that that the TCG put out POW 12 now as well.

It could've just been a bit of purple prose, but it did make me wonder...

Just want to toss in my vote for Zap-a-Gap. It's the only glue I use now. Get the Medium Gap Filler formula (light green bottle, conveniently the one Michael's stocks, although it's just labeled "Medium CA+" now for some reason), it goes on easy, stays where you put it, and you can add more later to seal gaps. I even use it to fill the slottabases now. Just roll up little paper towel bits, stick them in the slot, and Zap-a-Gap it. Much faster.

Plastic 'jacks are a breeze with superglue.

I own three Mules, and if you asked me if I would buy a fourth, I could not honestly say that I would not ever do so. Do I need to see a doctor?

If you brought two of each, you're looking at something like 21" of light infantry death.

That's painful just to think about.

And then add in the covering fire of 10 Longunners + UA... Oh, I'm sorry, did your infantry actually want to cross the board? Because that's not going to happen.
