Newest Project, Green Lantern Scyrah

And where else could I start but with Rahn?

This was my first attempt at washes. I've wanted to start a second faction for a while, and I was waffling between Cryx and Scyrah. Two dragon factions, or two elven factions? Well, with the release of Wrath, Scyrah sealed the deal. I like the Vyre 'jacks a lot.

Anywho, then I needed to come up with a theme. I'm a huge GL fan, and I was quite pumped for the movie (I heart you Ryan Reynolds), so it didn't take much to think pushes and pulls basically means Green Lantern powers, and so the Lanterns of Retribution were born (name unfinalized, but I'm liking it more and more).

Rahn is the first and only so far, having been purchased as a gift to me by my lovely fiancee. She also bought me a House Shyeel Artificer. Once those two are done I'll probably pick up some Mittens and a 'jack.

Very cool idea and good job on Rahn! I always thought Retribution minis look much better in a darker paint scheme, the white on the studio minis never did it for me. Can't wait to see more as you get them

This is extremely awesome. Green Lantern is my favorite superhero!

My one suggestion would be to make the weapon green with extreme highlights... that way it looks like a construct.

Neat idea. At some point, I was going to switch my Ret scheme to greens - mainly because I kept calling the Ret battle engine "Battle Cricket".

and naturally, those dirty menites are yellow because they fight with fear like the yellow lantern core, and khador are an angry bunch of red lanterns. I can't wait to see more.

That is awesome! Also Puritan, that is such a wicked idea that I am totally repainting his weapon. In fact it got me considering doing all the 'jacks as constructs...

I'll test the 'jacks as constructs on something small first.

Edit: Also, yeah, Doomreavers are so totally Red Lantern.

the only DC reference I've thrown into my models was painting my Vlad in reverse superman colors. More warmachine figs need capes.

Oh god I'm stealing this hard. That construct staff is sick. Love it.

A buddy of mine painted up the old pCaine sculpt as the Punisher, and it's fantastic to play against. I love the idea of the warcasters being super hero-esque, considering how powerful they are anyway.

Now I've got to turn Garryth into Batman...

Go with Martian Manhunter..just as cool (as least to me as a kid) but more intelligent 'green form.'

Now, I'm waiting for the first Venethrax as Atrocitus (Red Lantern Leader) conversion. . .They even have the same shoulderpads

You know, sometimes I hate you guys for giving me these ideas....

Great Work on Rahn here, but I'd be sure to highlight his staff (constructs) up to white as much as possible to make them glow a bit more. I'd also add a little OSL to rahn to make them even brighter, but I stink at it, so can't blame you if you don't

Wow...totally loving the Rahn as a member of the Green Lantern Corps. The scheme is great and I cannot wait to see construct jacks.

The nice part about doing construct jacks is that they'd be sooooooooooooooooooooooo quick and easy to paint.
...and we will love them.

I'd echo the point about a little more extreme highlighting. A few choice points of white will make it shine.

Once again my lovely fiancee has purchased a model for me. The Phoenix is assembled and awaiting the primer. That will be my next project. I've got painting slated for thursday or friday night, as long as I can't find someone to face my newly painted Typhon on the table.
