It will be great to have a Warmachine event at Cold Wars again. I'm definitely in for Saturday but unfortunately Friday overlaps the FOW event.

How many spots are available for the tournament? I know of myself and at least 2 others that will be there.

    Sounds good!

We put a max of 16 mainly so the event wouldn't last some crazy amount of time. Depending on space and demand we may be able to increase it, but that is not definite. I would register asap, just to be safe.

One thing to consider, I don't remember seeing any vendors carrying any PP models or books at the last few HMGS cons. It may be important to talk to some of the typical vendors, like the Warstore, Gale Force and Age of Glory, to let them know about the demo. People will hopefully be looking to buy books and models after the demo and tournaments.

    Hey MC,

There is a tourney on Friday night? Did i read that right? Starting at 8PM and going for a few hours. Looking to go into the wee hours of the morning eh?

    Nate,

Seth going to make the con this time around or was there someone else that is making it down?

Also, didn't the WarStore have PP stocked at Fall In? Atleast i thought i noticed that at the con.

Now i got to go look about getting my forces ready. I just might have enough time. :-)

The Friday Night Tourney should go to about 12:30am Saturday. That's why we chose 15pts as the game size.

I don't remember the Warstore having anything but then again I could have missed it. The issue with Friday night is the overlap of the Flames of War Doubles tournament not ending until around 9:00. Are you still planning to play in that?

Saturday we're set. It is either Trolls or Cygnar.

I'll try to figure something out for Friday night. A way to do both.

Pre-registration has opened. You can make an account with HMGS East for free. From there you can purchase a badge for Cold Wars. I will be contacting the event coordinator tomorrow for details on pre-regging for events. To be continued.

Hello, I am making arrangements to be able to come up for the Steam Roller, but I am not coming for the whole convention weekend and the pre-registration is for the whole weekend. I am only going to get a 1 day pass, but I wanted to make sure that I can still get a slot for the event. What are my options?

    Thanks

Shouldn't be a problem, but I want to give first dibs to pre-regs. Pre-reg ends on Feb. 21. If there are slots left, you will be the first to get one. Sound fair?

I'll sent out a PM on the 22nd letting folks know what is available.

Interested in the faction breakout. Who is bringing what?

So I'll start, Cygnar in the SR2010.
If the worlds align and I can make the JnB Friday night, it will be Cygnar there also.

    Hey MC,

Hold a spot for me. I am not registered yet but i will be there. Termi_Nate will verify it. I come to smash his horrid Cygnar with my Menoth.

Termi_Nate and i have the FoW tourney on Friday but trying to be there for the the start Friday night but not going to promise anything. BUT for sure will be there for Saturday's tourney.

Factions both days will be Menoth. Need to show some of the nonbelievers the patch back to the light. :-)

I am thinking about running out there on either Thursday or Friday as those are my days off. If I make it out, I will track you guys down. One day pass is $25, right?

Here i thought i saw the other day there was a free pass available. It was a pass that allows you to buy merchandise but not allow you to play in any games. But now i cant find it. Looks like the 1 day pass is like you mention $25. But if you wanted to play in games and demos then my idea wouldn't have helped anyway. :-(

As you probably already know, Thursday no one from our group will be there. Friday I will be there for most of the day, probably not for the tournament unless to prevent a bye.

Big thanks to you guys for putting on two great events. The terrain was also top notch and made for some really interesting situations.

Thanks to all other players for good games every round, had fun even the ones I didn't win.

Excellent job on the tournaments folks. I only competed in the 15 point one but I felt it is was run smooth and I had fun, even with the posterior kicking I took from Goreshade - (I bought the model).
This was my first tournament and it was a good one to start with. Thank you.

Thanks to everyone who helped organize and run the events and to all the people who came to play. The terrain and demo game models were fantastic and I'd like to extend my jealousy to whoever won the Retribution army raffle.

I had a great time and look forward to seeing you folks again in July.

Is that because you got stuck between a city wall and a Stryker? :-) Or was that another round?

But yes, i wanted to give a shout out to MC, UndeadDan and the boys on putting on a good show indeed as well. Even though i didn't win a single round between both tourneys i still had fun indeed. And i agree as well that the scenery was good as well. The pics in the previous parts of the postings didn't do them justice. They look much better in person. Here's to the hope of beating someone at the next tournament. :-)
