Default Templates in January, but what about tokens?

Great that we're getting new template sets in January. Woot!

But, to possibly beat a dead horse, what about token sets?

I know that Privateer announced token sets way back, but then when Mk II got announced they (understandably) went silent on those and we never saw any more about them. Well, now that we have Mk II in final form and heading to printers, and that template sets are officially announced, any chance we can hope for some official Warmachine Mk II token sets?

I wonder if Gale Force Nine stole PP's thunder with the release of WarCogs? One set for all your casters is great and makes caser specific tokens obsolete.
Or maybe PP is just too busy with MKII, plastics, and who knows what they have in the pipeline for next year.

Warcogs didn't obsolesce 'caster specific tokens. The icons are not always intuitive, and I know people would rather have the proper names available. I just generally use the YW7 tokens, though

I have all the GF9 tokens for all my casters, and I just planned on using them in Mark II. I have the Retribution WarCogs set, and I do like those.

I have no problem using the WarCogs for all my casters, the icons aren't that cryptic to me.

The Skull is normally my offensive spell that does something to your army

The Gauntlet is a buff to my army

The Lightning Bolts is another offensive spell that zaps your army

    the Vortex is....something else

    The Gears are...something else

    The Fire is...FIRE!

-shrugs- I try to make it simple.

I use a combination of both. I always use the GF9 licensed tokens for knockdown and disruption because they are bigger and I don't like messing with the smaller tokens, especially the focus ones. I love the symbol ones for spells that I don't have an actual token for.

The melee gauge is the clear MVP though LOL.

Anyway, as long as the official PP ones aren't like the hordes ones and they are good quality I will probably buy them. I don't think anything will replace my focus unless they come out with some awesome pewter representations like the soul tokens. Those are awesome, but I don't really use anything that would need them

Did PP say anything about coming out with their own dice? I LOVE the GF9 ones but it would be nice if they weren't solid colors. I like the swirly dice

I don't know about colour or design but I have it on good authority that they sure are...

    right after the token sets
