    Default Gutter & Grinder momentum

    Hi!

During yesterday's great session, one new question came up: We didn't use the Gutter very often in the past, but if we played the following situation correctly, this WILL change!
If my marked space for an Grinder attack is in the Gutter, the Grinder doesn't stop there, I understood that. But, is the momentum calculated in the usual way (strike minus Grinder-marker-distance)? This would be a VERY nice and powerful option!
In our game, the Grinder was adjacent to the Gutter and I placed the target marker one space away in it. So, 7 strikes would result in 7 spaces of movement with a momentum of 6.. *evil grin*

    Is that right?

That is correct, according to the rules as written. This makes the gutter a great tool for getting the Grinder past opposing steamjacks with reach on one or more squares in the gutter, as well as steamjacks who are, themselves, in the gutter.
