All hail the Ubernaught. All hail the CAKEFATHER.
I think it would be sort of like Mordikaar's soul tokens, you'd get them after you leach so it doesn't interfere with managing your beasts.

Yes, Nemo gets Power Tokens, which turn into focus the following turn. I've been playing against him a lot lately with my Farrow, he seems to have about 10 focus per turn just with the friendly tokens and Squire to pull from.

I hate to say it but I gotta side with Bombance on this one. It's a nice sculpt but it barely differs from pHexeris. Did PP forget what epic means? If u got eHexeris' card I don't think anyone would notice u were using the pHexeris model. For 20 bucks I expected more.
Epic means that the character has gone through some change in their personal outlook on battle and uses different spells and tools to get the job done than they once did.
Does some part of the model suggest to you that his abilities are mostly identical to the old Hexeris? If not, then perhaps it isn't PP who has forgotten what epic means.
Also, who or what is Bombance? There is no post on this thread today by such a username.

Barely different? Yes, the models do look similar, but they are very different. Here is pHexeris so we can all do actual comparison rather than "Hexeris is awesome" skewed mental comparisons.
Several epics are "barely different" that their original incarnation, but none of them pick up the bulk that Hexeris does from one incarnation to the next.
eHexeris is huge, that's where the money is going. My crude size comparison makes eHexeris look about half a head taller than his first incarnation.
The difference between prime and epic versions of Hexeris are a bit dramatic as his armor is totally changed save for the sacral stone in his chest plate.
If I were to hope for anything out of his going epic is that he keeps the same weapon and gains access to a special skorne armor as if memory serves me correctly sacral stones can be forged to enchant and enhance.
On a side note when he comes out I think that I will paint his banner up to have an evil eye on it.
Like water the torrent of battle is ever changing and if a single crack in your formation forms the flood will be all consuming.
Yep...He shall be mine. Now that i've seen the 360, it was his lip piercings throwing me off when I saw him on Wayland Games.
His head looks totally different in the 360 degree views and it is much nicer!
I just hope that he stole some secrets from Mordikaar and Zaal while "arbitrating" between them; giving him some bonsuses/synergy with Ancestral Guardians and Void Spirits....
i don't think he will get any bonuses for AG's or void spirits. theyre the dominion of 2 completely different warlocks. As different to each other as they are to hexeris, no i don't see that happening but you can never be 100% on it unless you work for PP games developement

I like the model.
On the ability front I'm expecting something different to Nemo's ability as it specifically refers to draining in order to power. Perhaps more like an "I hit you and steal a focus/fury to add a fury to me" ability . . much like one of the Ret casters Kaylessa?
Either that or some spellage with a similar effect.
Something like that would make him a competent assassin if his other abilities remain.
Like others I am hoping for little more trailing of the new book. Wrath (and the Minion Book) were let downs with how little was new to the public domain.
"It's a game, have fun"
Well maybe this could mean that a new type of solo/unit may become available to the Skorne, and they will have special Skornegy to eHexy...kind of like the new gator warlock and undead gators.
In comparison with our other Primal - Epic Primal figures, we are par for the course. eMorghoul is really the only model we have of the old philosophy of epics getting something to stand on. Epic Mekeda is really the only one that bothers me. The leader of the Skorne Empire should have a model that show it.

Don't know if this will have any connection to it, but Wrath didn't have new units for anybody except Ret, since they were so far behind. I guess Hordes has fewer options in general, so maybe everybody gets a unit, but I am hoping for more character beasts. And not ones like Molik who might or might not, possibly limit the design space of skorne, just character beasts that have a bit more character.
What is the best kind of struggle? Speaking truth before a tyrannical leader.

I'd love it if Domination were light on the units and featured mostly beasts, solos, attachments, and small units. Plus the battle engines of course!

Same. The ones we have are mostly fine. And those that aren't just need some UA/WA/Solo Support love to make them more competitive options. Though I wouldn't mind a character unit, or maybe some mortitheurges... oooh, or maybe some new Cataphracts... or... Ugh! Someone stop me!
Ok, if there were to be one unit then I really want to know who a Genzoul is! I am also dead curious as to what our character beast will be.
Can someone do a side-by-side comparison of pHex and eHex with adjusted base sizes ?
Signatures take too much space.

Perhaps... the Abomination rule?
Void Spirits and Kovaas are, as I recall, also considered destructive abominations by your average Skorne. If something can be made into a weapon, though, I imagine that's enough for your average rank-and-file Skorne trooper. He or she probably wouldn't want one up close, of course...
But yeah, if they were to add Genzoul, they could have some sort of "Handler" model for them similar to Circle's Druid+Constructs unit.

If you're intrigued by doctors who are also ninjas, then this is the Web comic for you!
But the Kovaas is kinda a pet of Zaal. And no one is gonna argue with the Skorne Pope.
I was kinda under the impression that Genzoul were more traditionally seen as abominations, that there was a certain element of being honour bound to try and kill one on sight? Mind you, I may be pulling that out of the vaguely-memory-hazey-air.
I won't argue with you about the Void Spirits though
A Genzoul handler could work, I guess. The only fear I would have with Genzoul as a unit would be that it would be yet another one that would have a 'living enemy models' effect.

Maybe a Genzhoul unit could have a wee twerp Skorne dude as the unit leader, like with the Circle stone things? A guy (trained by Mordikaar/Zaal) who keeps them in check etc.
Also about the honour thing, wasn't there a quote somewhere (possibly in the Skorne book under the Venator UA entry) that said they were changing their mind about the relative rank of Venators in their society after seeing how effective ranged weapons could be? If they can change about that then I'm sure they could get on board with mad zombie ghost things if they helped them take over and whatnot
Edit - I see the ghenzoul unit/circle stone guys thing has already been mentioned, I'll blame me missing that on forumming at midnight!

I like the model and can't wait to paint him up. I really like the tusks on his back.
I think he's a lot better proportioned than pHexy, which always seemed a bit thin around the middle.
Not bad. I agree the pose could have been a bit more dramatic, but since he's already overflowing that small base, what could they really do? He couldn't have a foot or leg thrust out... Have him doing a 90" flying kick with his foot up around his head?
Maybe a power slide? It would have gone well with the guitar playing motif, tee hee.
the battle engine looks like a walking drum set, the catapult is a mutated cello, and the swordsman are dual wielding flutes... maybe we could have a frank sinatra/big band theme force...

looking at his backrack could that possibly be another sacral stone?
I was thinking the same thing. That could be a clue as to soul-gathering/traffickinmg ability. (Yeah, sould trafficking is Zaal's thing, but Hexy has in the past used alternate methods of replicating extoller abilities.)
the model itself is pretty cool. It's quite bulkier than pHexy and seems to have a bit more in the way of decorations. gulgata even seems to have gotten a touch of flair (may mean G2, with totally different weapon abilities.)
hey, I'd proxy this for pHexy. Just release it already.

Nice idea, a Hakaar style Epic Xerxis. I love it ... awaits the next expansion...
zaal and mordikaar will probably go epic berfore xerxis, they are more part of the storyline.
Hard to say, it's pretty easy for PP to suddenly add a significant story role to just about anyone. It's true that Zaal and Mordikaar have had more screen time, but that doesn't mean they're on the verge of a major life change. Xerxis has already been mentioned as having qualified for exaltation (it's rare for this to happen before death), so he's pretty much primed to die in some awesome battle and become an Epic Ancestral if that's the route they want to take with him. No telling really, it could be anyone.
Honestly, I'd be happy for any one of them to go Epic though, they're all warlocks I like a lot. I think Mordikaar seems a little more likely than Zaal, but that's just a vague feeling that he's more central that that part of the story than Zaal is.

Well, thus far, haven't casters pretty much always gone epic in the order they came out in their prime versions?
Sometimes yes, but it hasn't been reliable.
