Get spell martyrs in there. I think the ravagore at 50, I think Typhon doesn't have amazing synergy with her and would drop it for a second scythean in those lists. I like raeks or harriers for BB targets.
I think going back to having at least 1 infantry unit in there would help round it out more, especially at 50 pts.
Hrms, i'll toy around with a 4th list. I do kinda agree with the Typhon thought though. If he had reach, then i'd probably disagree, just for the ability to engage more stuff on feat turn.
I needa pick up some spell martyrs to tell the truth. Hopefully the Thursday order has some on it.
The 3rd list is by far the more powerfull,IMO, I would personally swap one of the forsaken for 2 shepherds as the forsaken is kind of a one-use-only furry manegement as the shepherd can take off 4 fury all game. Annysa would be nice in there but it seems pretty full up. Or you could drop the raptors to minimum and add her. But as a scenario based caster the 3rd list has the most utility and hitting power in it, just be sparring with the repulsions as you only have 1. Use the raptors to block stuff up and kill medium-hard-to-kill-things, casual application of breath stealer to deny charges and extra movement to things like Molik Karn, who loose a lot of bonuses if he can't charge.
Cheers

I tend to like forsaken more because of it having more of a chance to live. Forsaken isn't typically a one time use. I tend to pull furry off of a shredder or something that isn't already full. That way i have a second use with them. The way i see it, the Shepherd is a one time use model more then the forsaken is. The shepherd requires you to be much closer to the beast in order to use it, thus meaning the shepherd is in the middle of the battle.
The third list wasn't actually meant for scenario play. It was just set up for a assassination game more then anything. Mainly because thats just about the only thing we play around here. For scenario play, i'll drop the seraph and a shredder, add in a angelius and a shepherd.
This is one of two lists which were used in scenario play by Jake to win Gencon Masters this year... So yeah, it's a good list. Actually, I think that the shepherd might have been a spell martyr.
I've been thinking about:
Saeryn, Omen of Everblight (*5pts)
* Nephilim Bolt Thrower (6pts)
* Shredder (2pts)
* Angelius (9pts)
* Angelius (9pts)
* Scythean (9pts)
* Scythean (9pts)
* Seraph (8pts)
1 Spell Martyr (1pts)
The Forsaken (2pts)
The Nephalim Bolt Thrower can still hunt solos, but gives you access to Glide.. so you can make the Scytheans an assassination vector also. You do lose a Forsaken, though... Which is huge.
5 heavy beasts and a light, with only the forsaken to help manage.. likely won't work out to well. I think your only option is to drop the Seraph for Annyssa, a forsaken, and maybe a deathstalker. orrr you could drop the forsaken for 2 sheperds.
Beck: Yeah, theres only so much you can really do with Saeryn that is different. However, didn't his list use a raek and two death stalkers as well? If i remember correctly, i thought he had 2 Spell Martyers in that list, it may have been one.
Vynde: Take a look at the lists again. There are 2 Forsakens in each list, not one. As much as i wanted to, i don't think i could add in a 3rd forsaken. XD Death Stalkers are still something i need to pick up. I might grab 2 while i am at my local shop tomorrow if they have 2 there. I'm pretty sure they have 1 right now.
I might mess around with the third list some on thursday. Drop the spell martyrs ((don't have any just yet)) and a shredder to add in Anyssa to that list.

saeryn
scythean x 2
angelius x 2
raek
shredder
anyssa
death stalker x 2
forsaken x 2
spell martyr
was the typical list but had to be modified for the character restricted format. i just took out anyssa and added in a harrier, gobbers and another spell martyr.
Yeah, I had been thinking that... Forsaken help the Hordes match so much, though...
Maybe something like:
Saeryn, Omen of Everblight (*5pts)
* Nephilim Bolt Thrower (6pts)
* Raek (4pts)
* Shredder (2pts)
* Angelius (9pts)
* Scythean (9pts)
* Scythean (9pts)
* Seraph (8pts)
Blighted Nyss Shepherd (1pts)
1 Spell Martyr (1pts)
Strider Deathstalker (2pts)
The Forsaken (2pts)
The Forsaken (2pts)
You'd lose the fourth melee heavy... but you'd gain flexibility with the Flight animus, increased threat range with Slipstream.. and you'd keep the threat of Forsaken to keep Hordes Beast lists honest. And you'd still have Repulsion for use when you need it.
Ahhh, I see. That's my faulty memory for you![]()
Yeah, i was talking to a friend and he pointed out that i could just as easily drop the calv down to min unit, add in Anyssa and still have the same attacks that i had with the full unit. This way, i'd have rat 9 instead of rat 7. Chances are, thats what i'm gonna do. Not to mention, it gives me a solo hunter if i need it.
