Hi all!
Is there any way to get a hold of the storyline told in all the Warmachine/Hordes books without buying every single updated and outdated book?
Hi all!

Nope. Not really. Sorry.

Privateer Press haven't released anything like an omnibus or anthology of their fiction, but to get the biggest amount of story and background for your buck, I recommend buying Warmachine Prime MKII and Hordes Primal MKII. Each of these contains a basic setting overview for each of the factions, including the major plot developments up to the end of Warmachine Legends and Hordes: Metamorphosis, the last two MK1 books.
But if you really want the whole story, you have to go in for the whole enchilada. Buy or borrow if you need to, since none of it is worth missing.

Thank you. Then it is as I suspected. I do own a few of the old books and since Im starting a new gaming group for Hordes/Warmachine I suppose I´ll buy the above recomended books as well.
A different question, when is the new IK RPG planned to be released?
Cheers
The earliest date I've heard for anything related to the new IKRPG is Gencon 2012 (August 2012).
The answer to that is a strong "Yes!". Each faction book has
a) faction-specific history and overview, longer and more in-depth than the ones in Prime/Primal
b) a new piece of short-fiction 12-20 pages long. The stories aren't all interconnected, but they generally follow chronologically according to the books' release order:
Retribution
Cygnar
Khador
Protectorate
Cryx
Mercenaries
Skorne
Trollbloods
Legion
Circle Orboros
Minions

Is the fiction in Primal MK II different than Primal MK I? And, same question with regards to Prime Re-Mix and Prime MK II? I've been thinking of picking these up for the stories if they're fresh material.
Does the storyline in Forces Orboros continue the thread from Metamorphosis in which Krueger the Brooding Cloud of Doom is meddling in the affairs of Blighterghast?
