destroyer is not karchev jack. need 2 meele atacks (for rage)...better with chain atack. berserker & kodiak are perfect for him
It's not a bad idea for a tow&throw Karchev army. Kodiak leads and makes smoke to block LOS. Karchev tows Destroyers to allow them to aim while repositioning and gives them 2 focus each for boost to hit and damage.
You will want to get close eventually. You need a screening unit that can hold enemy melee stuff back until you shoot what you need to shoot.
For 4 points you can get a unit of 6 Winterguard or 8 mechanics. I'd go for the mechanics.

Destroyer is a very Karchev jack because tow and aiming gives it good odds to hit and with Unearthly Rage they're extremely respectable melee combatants. Sure, everything is but not everything packs a bombard.
For remaining four points? Mechaniks and Koldun Lord. You'll really love that extra focus.
