I had been out of the scene for a couple months and I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed the raffle tourney. Very relaxed game play and I could focus on exploring the fundamentals on how my army worked and to think outside the box. I will be at the shop more often now since I got stuff done and hopefully will re-read the rule books since I feel a little dusty.

There is almost always an event of some kind every Saturday. I don't know the specifics, but there will be things happening.

I heard that there is this guy and he is really good at teaching the newbies how to play the game in El Paso. I think his name begins with a D, but I wasn't really paying attention. John and Andrew are good friends with him though.

Quick question. What are the usual size of your casual games and tournments?

Something will likely happen on some level with the IKRPG, but we don't yet know what nor with who.

Most games and tournaments here are either 35 or 50 point games. Nothing unusual or crazy.

For tournment play, do you guys allow conversions that aren't confusing and have marked bases? IE I wrote what the model is one the base.

We use the Stearmroller guidelines for model conversions. So it must be a Privateer Press model, the model itself must be clearly distinguishable, and it must be modeled in accordance with the stat line for the model in question (cavalry must be mounted, the weapons must be present and correct, there is no confusion between prime or epic incarnations, etc.). In practice this means any PG will take a look at the model and if the first thought that springs to mind is: "That's a good looking eHaley conversion" then it'll stand. If the first thought is: "What is it?" or "Why is this Man-O-War wearing Space Marine armor?" it's probably not going to make the cut.

For non-organized play, the acceptablility of any conversions or proxies is strictly between you and your opponent.
