I picked up Kallus and I'm looking forward to trying him out, but I need some more infantry first.

You've got to get some strider UA too. Its killing me watch you play with striders without the UA. Seriously, you will have a revelation when you try them and think much more fondly of your striders. i see you enjoy your raptors a lot though and do quite well with them, so its OK.

It's hard for me to get behind the idea. Already I find it hard to justify 6 striders over 3 raptors, and the strider UA isn't exactly cheap. Pretty much at max raptors once you add the UA

You don't seem to be playing against many very shooty lists and ihaven't seen any anti magic to make you wonder why you like Bethayne. That may be colouring your opinion.

I'm not seeing much shooting at all but I've played against a few anti-magic list (with Bethayne). Fist Kromac and then the ret guy that completely shuts down a magic phase. I found it challenge but in a good way. I actually enjoyed those games a lot.

Just a quick one regarding Lylyth.
She's pretty squishy, but bloodlure and witchmark/parasite can really do in a hard target. Molik pays for his obscene power and movement in his low health and high points cost (And morghoul's tiny control area kind of forces him to play into lylyth's sights). And with parasite, even lylyth could of really put the hurt down on molik.

game 45: The big trouble with going jack heavy vs beast heavy (especially legion ith their strong beasts vs mercs not so powerful jacks) is that beasts can be forced all you want, while there's only so much focus to spread around (exceptions like Karchev with his unearthly rage spell does exist)

Game 44 when a knocked down model frenzies it stands up and attacks anything in melee with it or advances towards the closest if not.

Game 45 proteus cannot drag friendly models.

Not sure why you think that list is so mean. You were very defensive with it and that is not always possible in scenarios, you were up against mercs, and warjack heavy, which was not a great idea.

This sort of list really struggles against massed high def infantry and weaponmaster spam. You will usually by outflanked and outnumbered and not have enough attacks to deal with it.

I really didn't expect shooting to be a problem though. I had casted it on the archers to keep them at full strength.

Your opponent should cut down a bit on the support models, yes menoth is a synergy based faction, but running 2 choirs, 2 vassals, and a mechanic with just 2,5 jacks seems a bit ott... (Also remind him of the zealot mini-feat)

Just watched Game 54. Giving up is not learning. Sure its frustrating and the camera angle may be a bit off but I see options. He could have blown the scythean and shredder out of melee freeing up his jacks. I don't know how bad you hurt the vanquisher but load it with focus, Battle it and inch in to try and shoot Saeryn. If the riflemen weren't broken then move up and shoot. You gotta give it the old college try. Dice can surprise you either way. He has lots of models with guns. Take free strikes to try and shoot. Just try.

There were 2 Riflemen left. They popped off a shot but missed.
Vanquisher was down to one box left and the Mechanik would have had to eat 1 possibly 2 free strikes to get to him so not too likely.
Vessel of Judgement also tried a shot but failed to hit.
And all my surviving Cav and Stannis also tried shots at Saeryn but she was at Def 16....not likely.
He also had at least 2 assassination angles on Reznik.

Yeah, the Reznik player was pretty hosed. The problem with Searyn's feat (and other battlegroup feats/spells in Hordes) is: Hordes players go: "YAY BIG BG! Just how my game rolls!" Warmachine Players go: *groan* "I hope this works appropriately with only two jacks, three is a strain..."

But doesn't Reznik's feat strip away all Fury? (or was that pSevvy) Edit: I remember, it didn't - it ended spells and set people casting on fire, right?

I mean, I wasn't there, but using the feat, then some ranged attacks, and Perdition, camping remaining focus, plus the boostishness of the BE, it should've been possible to set Reznik to tank mode, draw the guidon further over, and probably threaten to win scenario while the rest of the army dies for the glory of menoth, and leaving searyn in a no longer so advantageous position.

On another note, Saeryn appears to be one of those threats best fought in waves. a first one that dies but holds the beasts back during her feat, and a second one to start taking things out. Going with the threat saturation strategy (as it was done) is probably the wrong way.

Ah ok. My apologies then I didn't hear all of that part in the vid. Its very loud at my house with three kids right after school. If vanquisher had no functioning cortex then yes your options are very very limited at that point. Stack that with cold dice and things just arent in your favor.

I think using Reznik's feat in that situation is a bad option as it will allow the opponent to not worry about frenzy checks and every beast its full number of attacks and full control of its activation.

I had a similar experience with my T4 eGoreshade vs eButcher. Never played against the crazed warcaster and my opponent assassinated me top of turn 2. Very humbling experience. We talked tatics, reset the board and went at it again. The second game was a real slug fest with me pulling out a victory.

I don't know how what FURY stat Searyn has, but even with 6, she could drawn off enough Fury that he'd have only a small number of frenzy checks to make.
