She has 8 Fury. I did consider popping Rezniks feat but it actually would have helped him if the game kept going.

Reznik's feat strips all focus and fury in his control area and any spells cast set the target on fire. Unfortunately does not work for Animi. More useful and devastating vs Warmachine then Hordes.
Saeryn was also closer to her guidon circle thing so she also would have scored first.
Also the current Meta consists of Malorian and myself...very sad i know lol. Hard to get anything going in this town.
He gets more games because he goes to the city on weekends whereas i tend to work weekends. I think he's had more games in the last couple months then i have in the last 2 years! Sad considering i was the one that brought him into the game .

Saeryn clocks in at 7. Staggering your forces against her might be the best way to stop her feat from boning you completely but the problem there is her spell list. Blight bringer lets her block off a huge chunk of terrain against single wound infantry and breath stealer keeps anything more intimidating comfortably at arms length.

Saeryn is a lesson in having balanced forces that combine a healthy mix of melee, ranged and magic. Think of her that way, and she doesn't seem so bad. Nobody has much fear of saeryn over here because we have a very shooty metagame.

I am amazed at how beast heavy Malorian plays and how he hasn't had that inevitable game where everything just goes horribly because of overclocking his beasts, or that inevitable game where he faces a table full of weaponmasters and realises that his warbeats aren't all that tough. The number of lessers he usually ahs I find a nightmare to manage usually because any hits usuually take out one or two aspects and short of spending all your fury healing, those wounded lesser beasts end up pretty lame after.

Malorian also seems to be playing up against pretty soft lists, but that's OK because he isn't even tweaking his lists to be as mean as possible. You won't feel guilty playing saeryn after you play a few games against any of the denegras, e-haley, either skarre, epic asphyxious, harbinger etc etc.

Rhyas has some nice shenanigans even with her terrible fury stat (and coresponding control area)

that was a tough cookie, absylonias solutions to problems lie mainly in beast selection, so ravagore might have served better than angelius in this game. Also some solid infantry is always nice, even with a beast caster (so striders/hex hunters or similar). I hear talk of Raeks being nice with her due to playing god, jump in and throw them to the heavies
