Toughis one of the most annoying things for Hexeris feat, just when your about to start the chain,...
Anyone, what happens when he destroys a knockdown model ?
Does it count as stannding up, or can it not "essentially" be effected by the feat ?

Yep, it screws with his feat.
It sucks, but that's how it is...being tough is...being tough.
If you hate it that much you can try Slaughterhousers (Saxon is a corner-case option too).
Oh and self sac gets around it too, and some other things.
Hexeris' feat is one of those "does nothing, or mass carnage" feats.
Yeah, it's been said many times in tactical threads before: don't expect too much from Hexeris' feat, and you'll be pleasantly surprised sometimes. I usually count on it taking out most of a single enemy unit, and I'm happy if it does anything more than that.
Basically, best results are from the following and similar units:
-Stormblades
-Bane Knights
-Bane Thralls
-Nihilators
-Immortals
-Fennblades
-Sentinals
-Exemplar
-Forge Guard
And most of those options have access to some form of tough, so yea, aim low and be happy somethng happens. Personally, I forget he even has a feat most times. He shines without it IMO.
Specific answer to your question is that killing a KD model doesnt allow it to stand and attack. Just kills it and rfp's it (which can be very useful).

His feat is really, really weak most of the time, just deal with it.
thanks to everyones complaint about the feat, but i was not bagging it out :P
I actually enjoy it, :P
and a real thankyou (the other was sarcasm, doesn't read well through a text medium) to Del. That was my question.
Just wondering if there was some possiblitiy that being boxed removed negative / postive status from a model by any chance :P

I don't even care if he has a feat. He's the only well rounded model Skorne currently has for casters. He's worth playing regardless of his feat.
You have to look at his feat like icing. If you have no cake, it's useless. Activate him early on a turn when you think you can kill a bunch of stuff.
If you think of Tough as "I' gonna have to kill this model twice", then you'll be in the right mindset to deal with Tough models.
These kids and their military shooters. When I was growing up, we had to rocket jump to school. Uphill. Both ways. Over lava.

Only "Twice"? Heh, honestly, 5+'s come more often in not in my experience...and is just always sucks balls.
Rare Occurance, hell no, lost so many games because of tough...and honestly Slaughterhousers are not a great answer being expensive, fragile, and limited threat range (not a good mix).
As for Slaughthousers + Feat... Shiz... Yea, I don't think they interact as I had hoped. Damn Hexeris and his Skornergy, Love/Hate relationship with all his abilities combined!!
Slaughterhousers don't help since it RFPs before Dark Dominion happens.

Check that thread again, because I believe it confirms that slaughterhousers DO help. The takedown keyword as well as the Dark Dominion feat effect both trigger off simultaneously, thus active player resolves them in the order of his choosing. (as mentioned earlier in this thread).
I'll also add that with Death March, one can have MAT 10 Slaughterhousers on the charge, which helps against toughened winterguard, or other toughened high def infantry.
The trick to maximizing his feat is to treat it as efficient infantry screen clearing, so that you can also review a warbeast/jack to charge on that turn. This is why i like to take some redundant ranged options, so that I'm not cluttering my own charge lanes, then get the charge off on a prime target.
