Do you guys put sealer on the model before or after you base? Does putting sealer on the static grass mess it up or?

I dont use static grass but I do use snow which I closely related. I put sealer on after everything is done, it helps all the snow stay where its supposed to and it doesnt really change how it looks.

I use it over static grass. Doesn't mess it up at all. If fact, it helps keep it in place.

I'm assuming spray varnish over brush on varnish, and yah, it does fine.
I need to fix it!

Yes spray sealer, I wasn't going to try to brush it on. Thank you for the replies.

Murk, all my terrain pieces and bases are sprayed with matte finish.
