Bah, typo. Fixed now, so it reads "You may take free strikes".
Thanks.

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.
Awesome thread!
Correction on the "mid-charge":
I think for extra clarity, Appendix A should add the mid-charge example, because it's legal, but it is kind of ambiguous in the appendix.
Yes you can declare a charge, move, Curse, then attack. You can do so with Warcaster spells and feats, therefore you can do it with Curse etc.

Cryx & Circle
War Room: Although $60 for digital cards vs $200 for physical card is a great deal, overcharging for the full list building function is not. The code did not have to be tied together. Separate the list creator from the card library, and charge a reasonable amount for it. Thank you. (And yes, I can afford the $60, it's the principle of the matter.)
Yes you can do that. However you can't
declare a charge, move partway, curse, move rest of the way, attack.
Nor can you go
declare thresh against two targets, make 1st attack, declare curse, make 2nd attack.

Macallan just ruled that if you sac pawn an AOE to another model, the AOE remains in place. This goes against something I had written for about as long as this thread has been around.

That ruling is nuts. Just does not make sense fluff or rules wise. Aren't AOE's supposed to be centered on the model that was directly hit? If sac pawn makes another model directly hit instead how does the aoe not move to the new model that was directly hit. Oh now you've gone and made my head hurt.
Hai
Im a new Cryx player, playing with Witch Coven, i read here that for the perfect conjunction i need to have los for all the witches and egregor, all set in a triangular area but from what i read in the card, i just need the witches to have los with each other but not with egregor as long egregor is within the triangular area.
Example: i can spread my witches outside a forest with egregor staying deep inside the forest more then 3 inch away so no los to it, but as long the witches create a triangular area with egregor in the middle and los to each other witches i can still have the perfect conjunction..
That s what i think, please correct me if im wrong
Thank you
Feat - I don't remember is not correct.
Web of Shadows is.
Casta: You're quite right.
2Live: Thanks.
Also, I finally got around to writing up the Kraken + Black Spot interaction. Can someone who is a bit more familiar with the model double-check it please?

What your wrote concerning Black Spot and the Kraken looks correct to me. Noticed you wrote "Deneghra" wrong though.
You may add that you cannot black spot melee attacks until you have 3 corpses due to RFP.
Malice has a magic fist.
Can he make attacks against Incorporeal models? with that fist of course and will it do damage?
By the same token he would be able to make a one handed throw power attack?
Yes she can attack and damage incorporeal models with her fist. That's kinda the whole point of magic weapons.
Yes she can one hand throw normal models.
No she can't throw incorporeal models because power attacks don't gain weapon qualities.

This
"A model hit by a spray attack can use Sacrificial Pawn to pass it to another model. The placement of the template does not change. Note that this may cause that model (the Pawn) to be hit twice by the same spray."
Is not exactly correct. it would have to say:
"A model hit by a RANGED spray attack can use Sacrificial Pawn to pass it to another model. The placement of the template does not change. Note that this may cause that model (the Pawn) to be hit twice by the same spray. This does not apply to Magical Spray attacks (Deneghras for instance) since they don't count as ranged attacks."
FYI - the ruling on Sweep has been changed. It now targets and requires LoS. (Linky).

In the Mortenebra section, you should make mention of Recalibration not allowing rerolls on the d3 damage from Doom spiral, since it is kind of confusing as to whether or not it's a "damage roll."

Under stacking movement debuffs you give the example of pDenny's Crippling Grasp and her Feat The Withering affecting a Kador warjack. The Withering specifically states models cannot run or make special attacks so the 'jack wouldn't have the option to run, only make a normal advance (one inch I believe in this case).
Love this write-up and am constantly going over it to improve my game.
Thanks for all your spectacular work!
Do we have a ruling on this ?
Necromancy states: "When this model casts its controllerʼs spells, the controller is considered to have cast them but this model is their point of origin." I'd say the controller is Scaverous, who is under the effect of his own feat, no ?
At any rate, I have never had any complaints about applying the discount ... mostly showing the wording on Necromancy solves all uncertainty.
Klaw
I don't have the exact wording, but the crux is that the feat says something along the lines of "when Scaverous casts" vs necromancy which says "it can spend focus points to cast". This also applies to Skarlock's Spell Slave.
You'll find examples on the rules forum where they clarify the additional line "considered to have cast" (note the tense) is just for purposes of who is responsible for paying an upkeep cost when you ask "who cast the spell and pays the upkeep?"
See here for a purple on a similar question: http://privateerpressforums.com/show...ct-Conjunction
That just means that you've not played it with anyone who knew better.

How does scaverous feat affect upkeeps? Does it make them free?
And in that case: what happens if scaverous feats, and is playing against pSeverious, who also feats?
Asking both out of a need to know basis, and because it might be worth adding to the scaverous article.
His feat does not make upkeeps free. If it did, it would explicitly say that in his feat text. His feat also does not affect enemy upkeeps already in play. However using the Wither shadow combine's upkeep removal is a good combo with scaverous' feat as the opposing caster has to decide if it is worth it to recast those upkeep spells at a higher cost.
The feat affects models when they cast a spell. Paying for upkeeps is not casting a spell.
Let alone the fact that the feat occurs during model activation, and upkeeps are paid for during maintenance. Which is either before the feat occurs, or more than one round after the feat occurs, depending on which maintenance phase you're talking about.

Does blt get the benefit of his curse?
Just started Cryx and this has been VERY helpful. Thank you so much!
One question for clarification I do still have on Satyxis Raiders Feedback: if two Raiders use their Lacerators in a CMA that inflicts damage on a Warjack, the controlling Warcaster will receive 2 points of damage (1 from each Lacerator), correct?
"We hear that there are tumults and riots inRome, and that voices are raised concerning the army and the quality of our soldiers. Make haste to reassure us that you love and support us as we love and support you, for if we find that we have left our bones to bleach in these sands in vain, then beware the fury of the legions."

No: the necrosurgeon adds an additional Grunt. The brute is not a grunt.
And our nicely focus efficient jacks: no. Unused focus does not stay on the jack. Much the same way that unused focus doesn't stay on your caster for the next round.
Ah, as I thought. Thanks for clarifying
