I'm thinking about trying out an eStryker 3 heavy jack list.

I get three heavy jacks, of which I can fully load all three of them if I take a focus from the squire and a boat load of infantry.

Pronto on it is just disgusting, and you'll still get the focus of strangeways and the stormblades plus the jackmarshal advantage essentially has it running full tilt.

Still, I'd try to work a lancer in there. Drop gallant, grab the lancer and get...runewood? Rune wood is pretty sick with eStryker and any of cygnar's hitty melee units.

That does sound very nice. One thing that Rhupert has taught me is that it's always nice to have a solo that can grant a unit fearless.
Definitely going to give both a shot.

I assume you meant the Swordknight UA? I don't think the Precursor has Jack Marshall, does he?

It might seem a little odd but if you are going to consider adding an arc node to your list, consider using Thorn. He has the equivalent enhancements to Rowdy and can really eat up cortex boxes. Then you can use that last point for, either, another Stormgunner or whatever.
